  1. We have been a Fresno UMA family now for at least 7 years. I have watched my child grow from a scarred timid white belt hiding under Sensei’s chairs in the seating area to a black belt in training on the verge of mastering the in-depth lesson plans for promotion. I have watched many of the students grow into excellent staff/employees for Sensei Rudy and Miss Wendy. I have watched my son grow great bonds with his instructors and respect for his Sensei and Marital Arts in general. I have had the pleasure of building strong mutually respective relationships with my fellow Adult Kickboxing peers which I cherish greatly. I literally have watch the building grow into a larger school to accommodate all who wish to join when Sensei Rudy and Miss Wendy renovated and merged the adjacent build to increase student capacity. I have been blessed with finding Sensei Rudy’s dojo to keep me healthy and fit while also being blessed with Miss Wendy’s excellent managerial service for every scenario or situation off the mat. Fresno UMA is the one Constant in our families busy life that has always been an anchor for our troubled days and worrisome nights. Covid-19 has been a nightmare for all families around the world, but one light in the darkness for our family here in Fresno, CA has been the strength, the companionship, and love that our Fresno UMA has given us all these years. I plan on attending Fresno UMA forever, because I believe in Sensei Rudy and Miss Wendy’s vision for teaching Martial Arts. I feel their love for students, parents, and staff everyday I step into our dojo. If you are looking for great a school to learn Martial Arts for your child or yourself, as well as loving and caring people to interact with then Fresno Ultimate Martial Arts is the school for you!!!!!

  2. I have had the privilege to train with Sensei Rudy and his students at Ultimate Martial Arts for over 10 years! Sensei Rudy runs a fantastic dojo that is geared towards everyone from the beginner looking to get in shape, to the seasoned professional martial artist who is looking to challenge themselves. The environment is very welcoming!

    I was completely blown away by the classes that were taught by Sensei Rudy and his staff. The classes were organized, really fun, HIGH energy, and very interactive. I watched the staff teach, correct, and give a ton of attention to each student in the group classes. Sensei Rudy has the unique gift of bringing out the best in his students and it’s quite obvious that he really enjoys spending time on the mat teaching.

    If you are in the area I highly recommend trying a class!

  3. My son and his cousins joined the program. The whole staff is great with kids. The kids are excited to come in every week and learn new things. The staff is always encouraging and ask about behaviors at home so they can combine that into the lessons of the day.

  4. The staff is very friendly, my son is 3 and they have been so patient with him since he’s very shy. My daughter is 5 and she loves her instructors.

  5. This place has given my daughter the drive and determination to give her all at something she’s full functioning autistic and this program has been amazing for her progression. The Sensai and the other teachers are amazing they encourage the children and don’t put them down instead they applaud them for there hard work definitely an amazing place !!!!! Great lady in the office . Very understanding and absolutely great with the children and parents !! Fun environment

    Knock em dead insult to injury was an amazing event. Only suggestion would be to elevate the ring a bit more because when the fighters went to the mat nobody sitting in the audience could see. This event was so much fun and I’m hoping to get to see more like it.

    A great place to train. Messaged the gym and the asked the owner if I could drop in on an open mat he got right back to me and said “you are more than welcome ” so I got there and all the guys we’re super nice the owner wasn’t in but he sounds like a great guy by the way his students talked about him and his contributions to their lives as well as the community. And they are some good grapplers.. Gym is clean with plenty of room. I live in Stockton but if I lived in the Fresno area I’d definitely go to this gym. I’ll definitely be back to visit.

    I’ve been coming here for nearly a year now and it has a great atmosphere. It’s like a big family. The owners Nicole and Angel “Professor Halo” are very knowledgeable and kind about their business and all things Jiu Jitsu. The Muay Thai classes are awesome (although I have not taken one myself) I do usually take night classes while the Muay Thai is in session. I walked into this gym scared because I’ve never done anything like this ever and have since been much more confident, stronger and driven to be the best me in all aspects of my life. I highly recommend!

    It’s the teacher that makes Pinnacle Martial Arts the best in my opinion. I have taken my children to a few martial arts school in Fresno and none is even close to the training at Pinnacle…that’s because of Teacher Shawn Lee. His attention to the correct anatomical mechanics of form and movement is impeccable. You don’t simply follow the movements. He makes sure your movements are correct and meet the purpose of what they’re for. Because of his attention to detail and correctness, he can be daunting. But you need to see beyond that. He just wants to truly see you become the best of yourself. If you think you know your kicks, think again. You need to see how the kicks are done properly at Pinnacle Martial Arts.

    My daughter spent a little over 2 years studying under Master Lee. She is a better person for having done so. He is a very talented instructor. My daughter learned discipline and gained self confidence from his classes. I would recommend Pinnacle Martial Arts to anyone!

    I enjoyed every lesson that my child attended. Master Lee and his son are 2 of the most respectful human beings I have ever met. I would definitely reccommend. Master Lee relates what happens while training to the real world to your child so that your child understands why discipline is important.

    Wow, Where to begin? Master Lee is an outstanding teacher. He meets you where you are, safety & proper handling is an obvious priority, and the atmosphere encourages personal confidence, growth, and fine tunes your skills. Over the past year, I have been so impressed with training & watching Master Lee work with all ages, teaching toddlers, children, teenagers, adults, & even more elderly seniors.     Master Lee and The Pinnacle team are awesome. Master Lee is very attentive to all of the athletes and challenges them to find their strengths. He has a wide range of students from very advanced to first time participants. We have been with Pinnacle for 4 years and our son has grown throughout the entire time. We started at another school and decided to make the change to pinnacle due to Master Lee’s expertise in sparring but also learned of his dedication to create well rounded martial artists . If you want to be exposed to someone who loves Martial Arts then Master Lee is for you! I highly recommend Pinnacle. We are thankful and proud of the growth that we have seen in our son.
