  Excellent quality, just finished a build with Ballard Fine Homes and the home is spectacular. Ran in to delays but it’s to be expected when dealing with the City of Courtenay and all the nonsense but the house itself if fantastic. Good quality builder with good quality trades. Very distinctive looking and west coast style homes, would absolutely build with Ballard again.

  My husband and I had been looking over 2 years for property to build our retirement dream home. The listing came in on a Wednesday night, I decided to send an email directly to the developer, Don Ballard (Ballard Fine Homes) within an hour Mr. Ballard (Don) called us back and answered few questions regarding some custom work. We arranged with our realtor to see the property the next day, Mr. Ballard (Don) was also there to meet us, my husband and I found Mr. Ballard (Don) to be very friendly, personable and passionate about building us a custom home, Mr. Ballard (Don) also showed us the beautiful show home across the creek as an example of his workmanship, which we loved and duplicated many of the finishes.

  Mr. Ballard (Don) worked closely with us over the following weeks to change the original drawings of the house to suit the needs of our lifestyle to include many custom features and upgrades, Mr. Ballard (Don) and his team helped us work through all the possibilities to create our Dream home. Once the design was finalized the process got underway.

  My husband and I were able to travel many times during the building process to check the house progress, which was on track for possession date. We met many of the sub-contractors during our visits who were very professional, polite, friendly and always kept the project moving with no wasted time and leaving the space clean and tidy at the end of every day. Thanks to Matt for always being there on short notice for those extra little things. Rob and Paul, for your amazing electrical knowledge and suggestions. Fabian for the outstanding finishing touches. Jonathan for your infectious personality and amazing painting skills, inside and out. Eli, for your patience and understanding on our landscaping needs, the end product is amazing, you are so talented and creative.   Being our 2nd time building a house, of course some things did not go as smooth as I might have ‘imagined’, BUT the Ballard Fine Home ‘Team’ was always there (Michelle – Thank you) to keep things on track, Mr. Ballard (Don) was never a text away if we needed something, he always texted or called us back or he stopped in for a personal one on one chat.

  From the sales/design at the start to the construction/quality control inspections the staff at Ballard Fine Homes have been outstanding. We are very pleased with our new custom home and the quality work. We would highly recommend Ballard Fine Homes to anyone interested in building their Dream home!
