a year agoEDIT August 2022 — They are still pretty entry level. Had a video call with a recruiter while she was in relax clothing and using chill language at home with her boyfriend working on the couch right behind her. Sent me an email asking for thoughts on some job roles she listed–pros and cons–none of the positions matched the experience from my prior roles and my email stating so was ignored.——
You can talk the talk with their recruiters, but they only go by your work experience for placement. They offer no technical testing to prove your skills. One interview and no follow-up or callbacks if you are transitioning from another field. At least they were honest about their inability to help someone like me find even a short-term project.
This seems to be common in tech consulting–a complete 180 from manufacturing and other trade placement companies that offer similar job placement services and work hard to fill their clients’ openings. Maybe recruiting in general just isnt what it used to be. Maybe the tech field is much more saturated or reliant on internal hiring.
Better off looking elsewhere if you aren’t already knee-deep in tech field experience. They don’t value skills, certs, portfolio, or knowledge without ” job experience”.
6 years agoI worked with AIM many years ago, but just started a new role with one of their clients, they are still the same AIM I knew.I worked with 2 of their recruiters in the past 10 years, Paul M. and Will H. Both are super stand up professionals, they kept me fully updated through out the interview / hiring process. They worked hard to get me the best rate they could.
I particularly appreciate the help from AIM through the work of Will H. who was able to successfully find me a new role after a previous position I had successfully interviewed for was closed. Will was able to honor the same rate and benefits package as we had previously agreed upon before the first interview.
To me AIM is still a company that is selective about which clients they work with. They build relationships with their clients who are happy to keep working with them. The position I’m in has another AIM consultant who is really good, he started months before me, and the company was happy with AIM they asked them to find them another engineer, myself.
AIM is not your typical recruiting agency that crawls job boards and send out automated job spam. They never spammed me either while working with them or working for someone else. I suppose they build relationships and connections with both their clients and their engineers from my experience working with them and I think that’s a competitive advantage they use to set themselves apart. And I also think that is a big reason why they get quality job openings, not bogus positions where the client is just turning down good candidates.
I highly recommend AIM.
4 years agoGreat company! I entered the relationship as an applicant and partnered with Daniel Shpreyregin. From the moment I stepped foot in the AIM office I could tell from Daniel’s composure that he was an extremely vetted professional. He gave me a great high level overview of his companies services, listened to my dynamic skills, and worked hard to secure me opportunities which would match my skills. He wasn’t afraid to work late, work hard, and do what it takes to secure the best outcome. Thank you for your hard work Daniel I look forward to working with you and AIM in the future.6 years agoAbout 2 months ago I was looking for a job in the Seattle area, so that I could relocate. I got a great number of leads but nothing panned out. Then, Will Holmes from Aim Consulting contacted me and everything changed. He came up with some real solid leads with good contract rates. Before you know it, he landed me a great gig. He was very responsive, flexible and friendly during the whole process.Everyone with whom I’ve come in contact with at Aim has been very responsive and professional. I highly recommend them as a valued partner in your job search.
5 years agoGreat company, awesome support team! I worked for AIM for 3 years. Very progressive vision, good customer service. My manager was exceptionaly and genuinely caring, relentlessly helpful through the years. He was my “go to” person who was always going extra mile trying to help and support me. Thanks again Mr. W. and AIM!
