Atty. Sue Kang deserves more than a five-star rating because her professionalism, commitment to excellence, and how she deals with and takes care of her clients are par excellence and outstanding. She is truly a blessing to our family having helped us with our work permit and study permit extensions and eventually our TR to PR application approval. Since the first time we spoke over the phone in 2019 when I started my studies here up until the time that we got our approval, she guided us every step along the way, kept us updated with IRCC regulations, and explained clearly and in detail the options that were available to us. She always goes the extra mile in everything that she does and will leave no stone unturned especially when it comes to documentation and filling out the forms. She even became my confidante when I got so stressed out and worried about our TR to PR approval which took longer than expected. She empathized with me and reassured me with her words of wisdom. My family will be forever grateful to Atty. Sue for helping us achieve this milestone. I highly recommend her and she is indeed the best immigration lawyer here in Canada.

Five star is not enough for Sue’s level of professionalism. From the get-go Sue has been extremely helpful, reachable, responsive, and extremely meticulous. My PR application from start to end was so super quick. Because she is extremely knowledgeable on the law, Sue ensured that all my paperwork was perfect. What makes Sue different is that she truly cares and goes over and beyond to ensure that her clients get to their end goal. She was such a pleasure to work with and I highly recommend her for any immigration requirements.

Sue is very patient and helpful. We started off with a consultation to go over possible immigration routes to take and once we decided on what fit best for the situation, she offered several services with varying levels of hands-on/off degrees to choose from. Her rates are great and she is very knowledgeable.

I chose the service where she helps closely and while the IRCC general turnaround was stating 18 months to be allowed to move in, Sue made sure all my ducks were in a row and I was ready to immigrate in less than 10 months.

I started working with Sue last year in 2021. She was incredibly professional, meticulous and extremely easy to talk to. The longest process was getting all the documents together, however she made this super easy by always being ready to answer questions, and give guidance where it is needed. I cannot recommend Sue Kang enough, I had previously been dealing with another immigration law firm and for years it never went anywhere. As soon as I found Sue and hired her, she put the wheels in motion and in a few months after submitting my application I received my work permit, a month or so after I received my PR approval. It was because of her excellent guidance and expertise that this whole process was successfully completed in such a short time. Thank you Sue!

According to the 2021 Canadian census, immigrants in Canada number 8.3 million persons and make up approximately 23 percent of Canada's total population. This represents the eighth-largest immigrant population in the world, while the proportion represents one of the highest ratios for industrialized Western countries.Following Canada's confederation in 1867, immigration played an integral role in helping develop vast tracts of land. During this era, the Canadian Government would sponsor information campaigns and recruiters to encourage settlement in rural areas; however, this would primarily be only towards those of European and religious Christian backgrounds, while others—particularly Hindus, Buddhist, Shinto, Sikh, Muslim, and Jewish immigrants—as well as the poor, ill, and disabled, would be less than welcome. Following 1947, in the post-World War II period, Canadian domestic immigration law and policy went through significant changes, most notably with the Immigration Act, 1976, and the current Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) from 2002.The main drivers of population growth are immigration, driven mainly by economic policy and also family reunification. A record number of 405,000 immigrants were admitted to Canada in 2021, with plans to increase the annual intake of immigrants to 500,000 per year. New immigrants settle mostly in major urban areas in the country, such as Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver. Canada also accepts large numbers of refugees, accounting for over 10 percent of annual global refugee resettlements; it resettled more than 28,000 in 2018 and has spent $769 million in 2023 alone for free housing and meals.

The Biggest Immigration Lawyer in Canada

When it comes to immigration matters in Stratford, it is imperative to seek assistance from a reputable immigration lawyer. However, if you are looking for alternatives, there are several other professionals who can help you navigate the complexities of immigration law. Here are the top three alternatives:

  • Registered Immigration Consultant: Registered immigration consultants are professionals who are authorized by the Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council (ICCRC) to provide immigration advice and services. They have extensive knowledge of Canadian immigration laws and can assist you with various immigration matters, such as visa applications, work permits, and permanent residency applications.
  • Settlement Agencies: Settlement agencies are organizations or nonprofit entities that aim to provide support and assistance to immigrants during their settlement process. They offer a range of services, including immigration consultations, language training, employment assistance, and referral to legal resources. While settlement agencies may not be able to provide legal advice, they can still be a valuable resource for immigrants seeking guidance and information.
  • Legal Aid Clinics: Legal aid clinics are nonprofit organizations that offer free or low-cost legal services to individuals who cannot afford private representation. These clinics often have experienced immigration lawyers who can provide advice and representation for immigration matters. Eligibility for legal aid services is usually based on income and other criteria, so it is essential to check if you qualify before seeking assistance.

While these alternatives can provide valuable assistance, it is crucial to remember that immigration law can be complex and ever-changing. It is always recommended to consult with a qualified immigration lawyer who has expertise in Canadian immigration law to ensure accurate legal advice and the best possible outcome for your case.
