Their services are organized and courteous for the intake process. My first experience with them a couple of months ago was good and timely. The process for my current transaction has been good so far and I look forward to receiving closing details shortly as we are less than a week away from closing. Going through this process can be an anxious experience for any home buyer, and when I checked in with them a few days ago, I was assured by their office that everything is on track and I would be hearing from them soon.

When we purchased our new home, our transaction with RealEstateLawyers.ca at the beginning of July was very helpful and clear. They had great communication with us, a Zoom call to conclude the final documents to be signed and a number of contacts throughout the process when made keeping in touch easier. They were very transparent and up front with pricing which was appreciated and helpful. We will keep RealEstateLawyers.ca in mind when buying a home in the future.

Phenomenal firm! My wife and I have done several property transactions with this firm and others in the past and SBS was by far the most professional and thorough firm we have dealt with; not to mention very fair pricing for the quality of work! – maybe even cheaper than I would have expected for that quality… I would highly recommend SBS to anyone looking for representation!

I can’t tell you what the actual service is like as I called them twice and no-one had the manners to call me back either time. I told them what my two problems were and that I needed to pay for a consultation for some advice. I was asked for the name of the person I had a dispute with so they could check to see if there was a conflict of interest and that someone would get back to me, but they never did. If they cannot communicate when they are first starting out with a new client – can’t imagine it would be a good service you are getting during the whole dispute resolution process.

Never mind – found a great lawyer down the road and am very happy with the service and even got a free consultation.

Indigenous intellectual property is a term used in national and international forums to describe intellectual property that is "collectively owned" by various Indigenous peoples, and by extension, their legal rights to protect specific such property. This property includes cultural knowledge of their groups and many aspects of their cultural heritage and knowledge, including that held in oral history. In Australia, the term Indigenous cultural and intellectual property, abbreviated as ICIP, is commonly used.
There have been various efforts made since the late 20th century towards providing some kind of legal protection for indigenous intellectual property in colonized countries, including a number of declarations made by various conventions of Indigenous peoples. The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) was created in 1970 to promote and protect intellectual property across the world by cooperating with countries as well as international organizations. The UN's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP), signed by 144 countries in 2007, includes several clauses relating specifically to the protection of intellectual property of Indigenous peoples.
Disputes around indigenous property include several cases involving the Māori people of New Zealand.
