  1. I’ve been coming here for over twenty years. How many stores can you say that the experience and service is better now than ever? Not many, I reckon, but true for this store. The minute you walk in, you’re greeted and directed, if you came for specific items, that’s a huge help. I often end up getting what I need quickly, then browse a bit because they have plenty to discover on their shelves. The staff here are knowledgeable too, and can find someone to help problem solve most any issue. Thanks Maple Leaf crew!

  4. A good size neighborhood hardware store. Excellent paint section, glues, finishes, sandpaper, Dremel and drill bits, hardware, etc. Not a lot of building materials, but can find some studs, flashing, metals. Staff is actually helpful!

  5. Best neighborhood hardware store! The service here is amazing and the people who have helped us here actually know what they are talking about and where things are! I feel like I rarely get that at bigger stores like Home Depot or Lowe’s—it’s hard to find people who know about the products or have the experience to give good advice or recommendations. Very grateful to have this gem nearby.

    I walked in looking for some paint and a tension rod. Both I found, and I also found an odd gem of a store staffed by an endearing group of early 2000’s era goths. I couldn’t place the sweet tunes they were playing, but there was definitely a Depeche Mode meets emo feel. Are there stores with a broader selection of merchandise? Hell yes. Would I rather shop at this strange and endearing spot? Hell hell yes.

    I always call first to make sure they have what I’m looking for. Sometimes they set it aside for me. Really great staff. Good prices.

    One of the staff not only helped me get a screw for my guitar but he also redrilled and rescrewed and fixed the spindle on it, when he did not have to. Rockstar, that one. Name starts with D. This must be why they’re called Hero Ace Hardware.

    Incredibly friendly service. They went the extra mile to help me find items I used to get in suburbia but loh and behold they were here in downtown Seattle at the same price too! My do -it -yourself hero’s.

    The staff is friendly, helpful, and most importantly available! I find it worth a lot to be able to actually ask questions and get answers right away and without having to chase someone down only to find out they don’t know! The store carries things other places seem to run out of; like that Artic Air conditioner when it was really hot in 2021, I went to every place you could think of trying to find one and they were all gone. Then one day, went into Ace Hardware for some bits I wanted and right in front of me was a stack of the Artic Air conditioners! Not bad prices too! As a matter of fact, the worst thing i can tell you about Ace Hardware, they took the free popcorn away!
