What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. Visited store today, Monday, 12-12-2022 at about 12 Noon. Came into store to look around. I went straight to the shoe section of store and saw the sign that shoes are now shelved by sizes. I found quite the unorganized mess I have ever seen in any store selling shoes. Every aisle of the shoe department has signs for various sizes of shoes. Generally, shoe departments start with the smallest sizes of shoes and every aisle after that will have the next largest sizes all the way to the last aisle which is the largest of the shoe sizes. Not your store. what an unorganized mess. After I got past this section I went to the home department in your store. It was organized in the usual manner for your store which I can negotiate. However, I do want to comment on your clearance aisle in the home department. What an awful mess there. Absolutely, one horrible mess down that aisle. Broken, damaged, dirty items sitting on shelves so full that a customer can barely pick anything up without causing an avalanche of merchandise tipping over or breaking. Dear manager of Marshalls, customers deserve better at your store. If you expect us to pick through your mess to shop the merchandise, you are really mistaken. Please straighten up the mess. I was in the store for over an hour and I bought only one small item. Left feeling very disappointed with the condition your store is currently in.

  2. a total lack of respect, more than 25 min in line to pay. Only 4 cashiers and the store is already full of customers, but on the floor you find more than 15 employees, none of whom are required to assist at the cash registers. The office staff should better guide and train their employees as well as reinforce with more of them on the days when a greater influx of customers is expected.

  3. I love it is my favorite store. You can find the current price for the brand you want but I don’t like the people work there they being sometimes so mean not all of them some of them.

  4. The Lady that was attending the dressing room needs to go home, regroup and come back! She had the nastiness attitude I’ve seen in a long time from an employee…On the flip side . The selection was good as usual..

  5. I have always loved Marshall’s. This one was okay. It had some really good deals. The store wasn’t the cleanest, but it didn’t feel disgusting. Some of the staff were nice while others were very rude. They announced that the store was closed and never gave a warning. Immediately following the announcement, a female employee went around and told, not asked, but told shoppers it was time to go. When a fellow employee said something to her, she said, “I don’t care, I want to go the f*@k home. I got s*@t to do!” She was extremely rude!! I worked in retail for years and understand how one feels about lingering shoppers. But NEVER could we do or say the things she did.

While I do like the “treasure hunt” aspect of Marshall’s/Homegoods. I’m not sure it outweighs the pain of standing in a line that extends to the rear of the store and back towards the women’s athletic section. Added note that the long line is by no means an isolated issue on weekends and peak times. 3pm on a Wednesday and I stood in line for at least 30 minutes. Some may argue that the line moves, however I have yet to shop at another Marshall’s/Homegoods store where the line is so long. PLEASE, a special appeal to the management of the Rea Road store and corporate, let’s see some action on fixing this frustration for your customers and showing that you appreciate us and respect our time. I know that I am not the only one who evaluates how long the line is before I decide to shop here.

I like Home Goods – lots of nice things for home including dishes, home decor, furniture, glassware, silverware, kitchen gadgets, and textile for the lower price. If you choose to go on a weekend, you are more likely to have to wait in line before the checkout. It doesn’t normally take long – around 10 minutes or so. Ipd: still like it. Their loyalty program with their credit card that works for entire umbrella including marchalls and tjmax has some benefits. The refunds are also easy.

Lots of great stuff but the dreadful long line makes you want to drop everything you found and walk away. The shopping line is ridiculous and it’s is because the location in understaffed. There are 15 registers and only 5 in operation. I suppose they built 15 for a good reason. It takes a good 30-40 minutes in line to get checked out. The claim is that some staff members are sick but that is what Human Resources are for, so account for these circumstances. I really hope something will change at this location. It’s the only location I know that has this issue, please take action ASAP, thank you.

My best friend and I have shopped this store for years. Besides taking forever to get checked out, today the store looked like a bomb had gone off and was not clean. The ladies room was nasty. Going to have to find another store. Used to be our favorite.

Parking is tough here. Overall place is kept in shape and they were staffed adequately for the holidays. Despite a line of 80+ i only waited 15m to return and check out.
