- Reviews:Word is that the Winn Dixie on the beach is more expensive than on the mainland. NOT TRUE! I was pleasantly surprised, even shocked by the prices on most items like lettuce. Folks visiting our beaches can take it from a mainland shopper that you are getting some of the lowest prices at any Winn Dixie. And extremely nice cashiers will check you out. She was down my back told me i wasn’t doing it right i should bag my groceries first. i said for me this is easier. Then a gentleman ask her a question she shrugged her shoulder and said i don’t know so i glanced at her and i looked at him and answered his question to a coffee shop close by and with that i forgot to scan the dog food as i was talking with the man outside she came out and informed to come in and scan my dog food i said absolutely it was a a mistake like I stated before I have a system so I don’t forget to scan anything and she threw me off and then I was talking to the guy and answering questions for him so I forgot I came back in and scan my dog food asked her if she needed the receipt and she rolled her eyes at me. Walmart is Walmart. What more can you say about it ? Some people have good experiences here some bad. 🤷🏻♂️ I only wish they were faster updating the computer systems letting you know things are available in store or not. Drove here to pick up a dent puller and of course it wasn’t here but online it says in store and available for pick up.
What can I say that plenty of other people have already said, right? I mean, it’s Walmart. In Daytona. It’s always busy and there are never, ever enough staff to make the checking out process any smoother. I can’t say much about the staff since I hardly ever come in contact with them. It’s just a necessary place most of us need to endure once or twice a week. Although, one of the few upsides is the clearance aile. Does not make up for the change from the being open 24 hours to like 10 or 11 PM though. See you guys there, just be nice and get in and out and you should do alright:)
This has to be one of the sketchest walmarts I’ve ever been in. What’s interesting is? I had to go in the store three times because I Ran over a bolt and I underestimated the problem. I thought I just needed plugs but then I need something to get the bolt out and then I need to get fixed a flat to fill it up with. Air because I have no air.
I don’t understand why every time I came out of the store. I know I was probably the least sketchiest looking person there and yet. I was the only one who was inspected every time I walked out. I was the only one everyone else walked by without having to present a receipt. They literally see me.The 2nd 2 times already had the receipt out but still I was the only Is mean asked his present receipt. If I wasn’t already having a s***** day with lots of chaos. I probably would have plowed through them On the third pass.
In all I spent about $300 at this store and this visit buying tools to fix my vehicle cause I ran over a bolt and to add insult to injury treated like a thief.
The service was not great. We had to search for quite a while to find an employee, and she tried for about 20 minutes to get someone that was authorized to get us a fishing license. Once she finally found the a guy, he was super nice and helpful. On our way out, one person in our party almost got run over, and the guy started cursing and threatening the person in our party. The security guard was standing there just watching like nothing was going on, and didn’t even make an attempt to pay attention to what was going on.
As always, the employees at the brick and mortar building are awesome. Never had a bad experience at this Walmart. Very helpful people with very nice personalities. The online shopping…we’ll that’s a different story. I probably won’t be doing as much online shopping based on how delivery changes when you hit the purchase button and then you attempt to cancel immediately after you see that the item you thought you were getting in 2 days, suddenly changed to 2 weeks once you hit purchase. Good luck with that.
