  1. DO NOT ADOPT FROM HERE. They adopted out my emotional support cat without my permission and they refused to call me back. I had my cat for almost 4 years since he was 2 months old. They don’t care about the animals or about helping the pet owners either. I will be filling a lawsuit.

  2. We adopted our lovely cat, Toby, several years ago, and he’s just wonderful. I had a very positive experience at the SJACC facility. I found it to be clean, spacious, well-staffed, and the animals looked healthy and well-maintained. We were allowed to enter the room where several “social” (non-quarantined) kitties were housed, so that we could meet a lot of eligible kitties. It was hard to choose just one because so many were adorable, and, more importantly, looked healthy and well-cared for. Our Toby was already neutered and vaccinated when we took him home, and he fit in right away. Ever since, he’s been the King of the Castle. I make a donation to SJACC every Christmas; they deserve it for their efforts! Keep up the great work.

  3. They run the TNR program. The check in process was very quick. We dropped the cat off at 7:30 am and she was ready to be picked up at 2pm.

    The staff was very friendly and patient in answering our questions as that’s the first time we participated in a TNR program.

    The cat mom recovered well from the surgery and was released back to the community.

  4. Got my newest dog from this shelter. They’re an amazing place I highly recommend visiting for your next dog or cat. They have so many adorable pets to choose from. The staff is incredibly helpful too with very fast response time even when busy. I’ve gotten 2 of my dogs from this shelter so far and plan on getting many more.

  5. I had to take in an injured, skinny, flea and foxtail infested kitten I found curled up in a driveway. They assessed and were very gentle. They were optimistic she would be adopted quickly once treated.

    Much better experience than when adopting, or trying to claim an animal.

    We adopted our beautiful dog here. If your going to get a dog/cat/bunny, please adopt it. They give you so much in return for your adoption fees as well. Our dog came with puppy training, which that in itself is worth it.

    The best rescue I’ve ever seen! The dogs and cats all have good sized rooms and get a lot of love, attention. Clean rooms (immaculate) with clean beds and blankets and plenty of toys! The outside play yard is amazing! I was so impressed I gave the facility a donation when we left. We aren’t quite ready to adopt, but when we are we will come back and find the perfect puppy! If you are looking for a new pet please do yourself a favor and go here! I promise you won’t be disappointed.

    This is such a wonderful, beautiful and caring place, nice facility and great staff. We had our kitty who passed of natural causes cremated through them, and we belong to the Pet Pantry program. This really is the best facility of its type I’ve seen. They are such a blessing to our community. Thank you Humane Society Silicon Valley for all that you do for pets and the community.

    My dog was groomed here multiple times as it is the closest to our home. He was cut around his eye once, his ear hair wasn’t plucked or cleaned another time, which led him to an ear infection days after that. They overbook appointments and have had to wait even after closing hours to pick dog up. I would recommend going to the one in Santa Clara as the service is a lot nicer and the staff is friendlier as well.

    Just worst petco in the area. Terrible staff. I mean half of them are helpful but the rest are just annoying! Most of fishes and other animals they sell are in bad shape and sick. They give you hard time for returning the sick animals. Fishes specifically die after a few days of purchase same as rats and hamsters.

    Big store, friendly staff, but unfortunately they didn’t have cat grass when I went to we got it from pet club which seems to have things in stock more often.
