What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. I used them for my personal residence. Had a leak that flooded my pantry and front livingroom which forced me to shut off my main water line for almost 2 days. Contacted Mr. Plumber they quickly sent someone over to diagnose and repair the issue. Conner Young assisted us he was very professional, kind and thorough in explaining what the issue was and what he was going to do to fix it. I am very happy with the hard work they provide I will recommend them to everyone I know!

  2. I am very pleased with Mr. Plumber. They came on time, communicated well, told me exactly what to expect and how much it would cost and did exactly that. All the technicians were very personable and professional. I really like that they worked in teams. Also Mr. Plumber has been very reasonable priced so far. Which is important to a single Mom on a tight budget. I will definitely be calling them again for any issues.

  3. From beginning to end I was extremely impressed with Austin and Mr. Plumber as a company. They arrived on time for both the estimate and the work to be done. They were not pushy with any sales and very knowledgeable. They advised on many aspects I needed to consider with the age of my water heater and certain things that were not up to code. They quoted a fair price in comparison to other estimates I had received. They were quick, kind, and explained to me all they completed when finished.

    Overall 10/10 would recommend. 😃

  4. A 10/10 experience from start to finish! We noticed a leak in one of our bathrooms around the toilet. I called Thursday afternoon and they sent a technician by 10:30 am the next day.

Before the technician arrived I received a call with ETA and a text sharing a picture of the technician and a fun and friendly bio about him. It can be stressful to let a stranger into your home. The text was a small but personal touch that really eased my worries.

When the technician arrived he wore shoe covers to prevent tracking in any dirt. The technician quickly assessed the issue in our bathroom and explained exactly what would be done and what costs would be involved. All fair prices. Not more than a half an hour later he finished replacing the wax ring for our toilet and cleaned the area thoroughly.

As much as it stinks to have a leak, the process was as stress free as could be! My husband and I considered doing this work ourselves but the money spent on hiring a professional was well worth the time saved and piece of mind it was done right! Thank you!!

  5. Absolutely never going to call Mr. Plumber by Metzler & Hallam again. We called around 10 pm last night for emergency service because both toilets were backing up into the tub. The on call technician told us he didn’t want to come out because he was tired and wanted to go home and sleep. Fast forward to this morning, and the technician shows up, used the largest head for his snake, and breaks our main drain line, calls his supervisor to come out, and their solution…we wait 24 more hours (mind you, we have 2 adults, and children home on Spring Break)for them to come out and pay them $900 for the damage the technician caused, or $2700 to replace all the drain lines in the house. So, we went to get the parts, and I fixed it. Still waiting to hear back from someone about how they intend to make this right. The only reason I rated them 1 star is because I was unable to rate them zero stars.

I changed this review to 1-star. So Mitchell from Benjamin Franklin plumbing comes out twice to fix my hot water heater. On the first visit, without doing any diagnostic, he replaces the two thermostats on my heater (he assumed that was the issue) and I’m charged $200+. The issue persisted, so I call them again about 3 days later and they send Mitchell again. Again, without any diagnostic he tells me my heater is bad and I need it replaced and he proceeds to quote me over $1700 for a new water heater. I told him that I believe the issue is simply that the lower element needed to be replaced. I had to tell him to test the lower element before he finally did and he confirmed that indeed the lower element was the issue all along. Then he says, without trying, that the element was rusted on and he wouldn’t be able to get it off. I asked him to try and he gave a half-hearted effort to remove the element before giving up. He pushed again about purchasing a new water heater and I declined. I googled how to replace an element, so today I went to Home Depot and purchased an element for $10. Then I went to Advanced Auto and purchased a 38mm (1 1/2″) socket for $23. I replaced the element myself in about 5 minutes. The old one wasn’t rusted and came off easy using an impact wrench.

I had estimates for $1800 to put in a tank! Ben’s did it for over a thousand cheaper. Mark was awesome, even had to see me break-down for a few minutes. Every polite and understanding 😌. More to come.

This company did a great job 👍 They came out and did an estimate. With me not having any water, they came back the very next day and did the job. Very fast and professional. They made everything all nice and tidy around my well. I will definitely be calling them again if I have plumbing issues. Gave me a great price as well. Very good company.

John came out on time, was very professional and looked for the source of our leak. We will still need a specialist to find the leak in the slab but John was nice enough to not charge us for the visit and recommended the specialist. We would love to have him come back to do the repair once we get the report. Excellent experience all around. John is excellent! He came back to ensure the information from the leak detection specialists made sense based on the layout of our home. He’s very knowledgeable and is very thorough in examining all possible situations. He is familiar with the home builder (our house was built in the 1960s) and was able to give insight on fixing our slab leak so we have a long term solution. He even spoke with the leak detection technician to clarify their report findings. On top of all of that, he’s a very personable guy. He’s made a stressful situation much more bearable with his insight and patience.

We had a water heater check up and had the technician look at a clogged pipe associated with our washer. He applied a coupon and we were able to get it fixed. He checked the line to verify it was working. Because he was kind and appeared knowledgeable, we asked him to look at a toilet that appeared to be leaking. He offered some reasonable advice and options. We were happy with the service provided today!

I had a 20 year old toilet removed and a brand new one installed. Seth and David did an amazing job! They cleaned up after themselves, they were respectful of my home, funny and I am super pleased with the work they did. Alissa was a delight to talk to while I was scheduling as well! They are not cheap, but I’ve had much higher quotes and I feel good with the service I got. I have a warranty on everything, they’ve been around for almost as long as my old toilet so I know you’re not going anywhere and they’re still a local company. Thank you! I love it!

I received my estimate from them on 7/29/22 and agreed they would be completing the hookup to city water from well water in our home. Come September the work had still not been started. They dug a hole for my meter pit on September 6th,22. 3 weeks later they come back to finish the job with a completely different scope of work. The crew that came to “finish” the work broke my sewer line leading from my kitchen to my septic, they “repaired” it. However now I have issues with my kitchen drain. They left my yard an uneven mess, and informed my that the final grading was up to me after I paid them over $9,000.00. They also left a patch of road that still needs to be repaired 3 months after the work was complete. I have made multiple attempts to get in touch with only to just be able to make contact with management today and be told they “thought the patch was done”. Please do not waste your time or money. Find a plumber who actually cares about their reputation and customer, because they sure don’t

We worked with Spencer from Hope plumbing so we could get a new gas line hookup to our fireplace. He was so helpful and took the time to explain anything we would need to know. I could tell he cared about doing a good and thorough job, which makes me feel safe since getting a gas line to a fireplace can have the potential to be dangerous. The overall price was about $2,000 and was comparable to another quote I received. I am thankful to have had him do the certified plumbing work for our project.

Hope Plumbing was amazing! They fixed our backed up drain quickly! They also made sure there was no issue with our outside line. They provided tips to keep our drains clog free. The repairmen were friendly, timely, professional and affordable. I highly recommend them!

Since 2016, we’ve used Hope Plumbing for our 1940s-era bungalow in Broad Ripple. We really appreciate the extensive experience of Hope Plumbing’s technicians and the superb quality of their work. In particular, Richard V did a terrific job replumbing our entire house in Jan 2022. We knew we needed to remove the original, corroded galvanized pipe as part of our renovation. Richard walked us through our options, and we decided on Uponor PEX type A (expansion fittings). Now in Sep 2022, everything continues to work beautifully. Thank you so much! We’ll be sure to call Hope Plumbing for our bathroom addition.
