  1. I have been going to Laurelhurst off-and-on for years and feel so lucky to have found such a great practice. Dr. Phil has always been attentive, gentle, and authentic. I look forward to an adjustment for the immediate relief, but also because I feel very heard in dealing with chronic pain.
    Through Laurelhurst, I now get regular massage therapy from Jenny Crain, which has by far been the single most important part of finding chronic pain relief. Jenny has an extremely mindful approach to massage and is very interested in collaborating on a plan of care that works best for me. She is highly perceptive and intuitive, which has put me at ease as I can struggle to speak freely in such a vulnerable state. Not only does she make plenty of room for feedback, she maximizes our time together so that even shorter sessions feel highly productive. I am so thankful that she has contributed so much to my quality of life, and I really look forward to our appointments.
    While I have received exceptional care from Dr. Phil and Jenny specifically, I truly would feel comfortable seeing anyone at this practice. I believe their standard of care is just that high.

  2. I have a 1 year old and 3 three year old and they destroyed my neck and back. I finally took the time to visit Laurelhurst Chiropractic and Dr. Phil did an amazing job of realigning my spine. After the initial visit, visits are very quick but still thorough. They also have amazing massage therapists. Wish I had started going consistently for adjustments sooner.

  3. My mom is a chiropractor, but unfortunately doesn’t live nearby! I have seen a lot of chiropractors in my area trying to find someone even a little close to my moms ability and no luck. Until Dr. Wilkes!!! I came in with chronic pains and severe new pains in my neck shoulder and ribs. I don’t know if my mom could even do what he did. I walked out of that office with no pain from breathing no shoulder pain and just a slight soreness in my neck which is to be expected with the severity I was at! (And it’s only the first adjustment!) It was a miracle! His pressure and technique were fantastic! He was super sweet and made feel completely comfortable! I truly cannot wait to see him next week and create a good treatment plan so I don’t live with pain anymore! I highly recommend!!!

  5. I see both Dr Phil and Bryan. They are both so skilled, kind, and amazing at what they do. They really take the time to listen and work together with me to help make my body happy. Everyone at the practice is been so welcoming and nice, and it’s just a wonderful place to get care.

    The Marcum Chiropractic Clinic Team are the best in town! They really took great care of me when I came in to have some work done on some lower back pain. I am a filmmaker and constantly working on my feet and my back is something that I need to make sure is in good shape to be able to perform my job. Within the first session I could already feel the difference, and I was given great preventative exercises to get rid of the tension that builds in my lower back through out the work day! The whole team really cares about me as a patient and want to see me be my best. If you need Chiropractic work done, I would look no further, the Marcum Chiropractic clinic is the place to go!

    I brought my 18 yo daughter in to visit Todd about her posture. He explained in great detail the reasons “why” this was happening to so many teenagers due to looking down at their phones. He was very thorough and supportive to her. Todd gave her so much good information on how she can improve her posture with a few easy exercises and tips to remind her to keep it up. It was genius!! I’m a medical provider as well and will be sending my patients to Marcum Chiropractics. 5 stars for sure! Amanda

    I unfortunately had an unprofessional and inappropriate visit with this clinic. I called one night to ask what time I could come in before they closed. The receptionist told me I had to be there by 6:30 PM to be seen. When I arrived at 6:19 PM, they were doing paperwork with other patients who were signing up for a membership. I was not acknowledged when I came into the building. The chiropractor, Dr. Harris, eventually came out to check me in but then realized I was a new patient. I was sent back out to the lobby to be checked in, only to be ignored once again by reception. When I came back out into the lobby, the other patients were sitting down signing paperwork. The receptionist had plenty of time to assist me with checking in and did not. At that point we were past the 6:30 mark and I was finally approached by the receptionist who asked if I was checked in. I said no and they handed me a stack of papers saying, “bring this with you next time you come in”. I sat there for another 5 minutes not being addressed and after the other patients left, I asked to clarify if I was being seen. They then told me that I would not be seen because it was past 6:30 PM and they would not stay late. I asked why I was being penalized for their mistake to which they responded, “I wouldn’t say it like that, I would call it a miscommunication”. The chiropractor then came out and reiterated what the receptionist said. Neither one of them ever apologized for their mishap affecting my care. I had just fallen a few nights before and was in a significant need of an adjustment. I also was not given accurate information when calling because they did not ask me if I was a new patient, which would have changed the timeline of when I was supposed to be there. The reception was so focused, or rather unfocused, on signing others up for a membership they lost a potential member in the process. I asked for the regional managers information. I called and left a message but never got a call back. I then reached out to customer service to file a complaint, sent them an email to which they still have not responded. Due to the lack of professionalism, care and concern for my health, I cannot recommend this clinic. I am confident that my experience was unacceptable and will continue to reach out to management and customer service in hopes they respond and take my concerns seriously. In a big medical company, you have to advocate for yourself, or your voice will not be heard. It’s sad reviews like this often lead to further action being taken due to protecting the company’s image vs. believing patients and affirming their experience. I sincerely hope they learn and grow from this as well as take accountability for their poor behavior.

    If I do receive a response and an apology, I will consider changing the review.

    Best package I’ve ever invested in for myself. Been coming for a month now and it’s a great deal. I go twice a week usually. Dr. Hudson Clark is hands down the best chiropractor I’ve ever been to, and I’ve seen a few. He has very strong hands while being precise and thorough. He is very professional and efficient. If I ever move I’m still coming to this location to see him.

    I travel a good deal internationally and in the continental US and have been to a number of Joint Chiropractic centers. Many of these centers are staffed by really good practitioners and this one, with Dr Clark, really stands out for me. Dr Clark’s technique leaves no room for uncertainty. I have the experience of being in the hands of someone who’s every move comes from knowing exactly what’s needed. While he’s an excellent chiropractic diagnostician, he’s also really personable. I’m looking forward to my next adjustment on a daily basis as long as I’m here in Portland.
