Older store with some newer elements inside. Definitely felt small and cramped, but it’s that way with a lot of older grocery stores. Found the few items that I needed and did self checkout. There was an employee working at this area to keep things moving since it was Friday afternoon. There is a Kroger Fuel Station as well. They have a Deli and Bakery probably Meat as well (though I didn’t see it). No Starbucks in the store at least didn’t see one, but there’s one across the street. About 2 miles off of Interstate 70 right on Indiana/Ohio border.
In general I tend to favor Kroger over other Grocers. The prices are almost always better on average, at least for the things that I need. Even if they weren’t or the prices were a little higher, they still make up for it in their outstanding customer service at all of the locations I have visited. This particular store is no exception and always has fresh produce and meats. If you haven’t been to Kroger for a while I highly recommend you at least give them another shot.
Very disappointing. Several of the items we came in for had empty shelves. I asked a team member in that department about more, and he looked at me, said, “I don’t know,” turned around and walked away. Then came time to check out. It just doesn’t seem possible that a place of business that provides this poor of a level of service could keep the doors open. I took two pictures. The first was after standing in line for 12 minutes and the second after 26 minutes. Total time checking out was 39 minutes and only TWO CUSTOMERS in front of us. If you will force your shoppers to check themselves out and bag their own purchase, then we need compensated for doing your job we are paying you to do. We will be transferring our prescriptions and loyalty elsewhere.
Staff is always helpful and nice but check the dates on everything. I purchased butter that was A YEAR expired. After that I started double checking everything. Ive noticed yogurt 3 months expired as well as sour cream and milk.
This Kroger is smaller than most,but the service is big. People here are always nice and helpful. Even a couple different employees were off the clock and preceeded to help me. I was disappointed in finding out they don’t sell certain items, but again they are not as big in size as others.
