What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. My goto for groceries and easily the best kept secret. The biggest complaint? Maybe only two choices to pick from, of say, peanut butter. Simply do not see that as an issue but had to remove one star. Kirkland brand has value, and i have purchased Kirkland brand many times. No complaints.

There is more, but let’s keep it a secret, better that way.

  2. I love the return policy. I bought a Shark vacuum that didn’t seem to be as good of quality as my other Sharks and after a month of use it was returned with no question.
Great frozen and fresh food selections.

  3. Love Costco! This place is always clean and well organized. My only complaint is the alcohol “security guy” at the self checkout. I am obviously old enough but didn’t have my driver’s license and he wouldn’t let me purchase. I handed him the bottle of vodka to put it back.

Then I heard him harassing a group of young men that were purchasing beer. One in the group was old enough and the others were not and he wanted ID from all of them or he wouldn’t let them purchase. If I had my driver’s license with me I would have bought it for them.

The security guy kept insisting that it’s law to get ID from everybody, regardless of how old they look. Hmmmmm

  4. Tire center seems to take awhile, and sometimes you really stand around waiting for a worker to show up, so it seems like they need to get somebody out at that main desk as a full time gig that way the tire workers don’t have to run back and forth and the customers don’t have to try and flag them down from the window. You got to imagine that gets pretty annoying for the workers trying to get to the vehicles. But when you do get somebody they often do a good job of communication. Ex of good one is Jaron, that guy seems to remember people and easy to talk too about whatever’s going on with your vehicle. But all in all this is kind of common for big box stores as far as nobody consistently working the front desk and having to flag down someone and then of course the work often takes longer than the initial estimate. At least that’s how Sam’s was also. So three stars for Big box consistency.

  5. I love Costco; it is by far and away my favorite retail establishment, due mainly to its pay and treatment of employees. Which would normally lead to pleasant and happy employee interactions. This location however definitely falls short of the quality and reputation of the global brand.

Upon entrance a woman was asking for memberships, and when I failed to produce this membership at the speed with which she was accustomed, she begun to aggressively reprimand and belittle me for my lack of knowledge. (“Everyone knows you can’t buy anything at Costco without a membership. We are a members only club”) While my experience at my local Costco in Mexico is that we are only asked for our membership once when we are purchasing our items.

As a membership only store, Costco is obviously entitled to ask for proof of membership as many times as they would like. Though in my opinion three times in one visit is a bit much. (To enter the store you must prove it, then again while in line for check out they ask to compare the photo on your membership to your face, and finally when checking out you must produce it again) A little procedural cleanup would go a long way at this Costco.

Overall, I will still patronize Costco, but my visits to this location will certainly become less frequent.
