Take a step back in time to the 70’s! With the dim lights making everything look grimey, low ceilings where the signs hit the top shelves, six registers that only have two open at a time, jam packed with customers, with no self-check out, this place is in DESPERATE need of an update(or being rebuilt…).
They’re always out of something on our shopping list, always, or they just don’t carry it. If we need to shop in person, we go to Lake Jackson, otherwise we Instacart our orders. Literally walking into this store alone is frustrating.
The worst part is that there is seemingly no accountability for the quality control of their produce. We’ve now learned to get our produce elsewhere, as the ones we get here are ALWAYS yuck!
Two times in the last couple weeks we’ve ordered apples and every single apple in the bag is moldy at the core!! The first bag contained apples that were black and fuzzy at the core (photo included), the second bag wasn’t as bad, but all were fuzzy, (photoed). It’s disgusting and from the inner look and vibe of this store, doesn’t surprise me in the slightest. It’s convenient that it’s near our home, but man, not worth it, at all. Just go to LJ. ????♀️
So I went in and attempted to use my Lone star card. The card I have is damaged due to the strip on the back. Every Kroger I have been in, in which I live near a Kroger’s so I frequent there. I went to this location. I attempted to use the card but you have to enter something in the register so I am able to put in the numbers manually on the key pad. Never had an issue with that until I came here. The manager goes to tell me they don’t do that and that I have never done it there. Wow, what an assumption to make because I come to Angleton every weekend and me and my family has shopped there many times. So instead of hun telling me he didn’t know how to do he was rude and said they don’t do it and do I have another form of payment. I paid with my other form of payment but I’m trying to figure out when Kroger’s don’t do that.
Wanted to tell everyone if you go to the Angleton store there is a STAR employee in the bakery. Her name is Fran and she is the nicest lady and always has fresh items for us. It’s always a better visit when she’s there.
I really want to thank this Angleton Kroger for excellent customer service from Annette. This lady was very friendly and super helpful! I asked her help about a money order and she was great. I want to thank this Kroger for such outstanding customer service from Annette. I hope I spelled her name correctly.
Don’t shop here during peak shopping hours. You will be in long lines. Only 1 or 2 lanes open at any given time. Would give them 0 stars if possible. Not shopping here any longer. HEB ALL DAY!
