A STRONG ZERO for Ellenwood Kroger while exiting my cart brakes stops while I am going full speed out the door. Stopped by security (Pickins) while a line is forming behind me. He asked for my receipt which I always keep in my hand. Then he just looks at it and looks and looks. I said wouldn’t it be easier for you to look at the receipt and check my bags 🤔 I only had 6 items because they never are stocked. I then stated why am I being stopped everything in my cart was in a bag, I just came out of line and every item is paid for. Yet I look like I just stole something and my food I ordered next door was getting cold. After I placed my food in car and got food from next door I returned to the store to speak to manager (Josey ). I explained to her that I could have hurt myself with the cart stopping so quickly and being stopped by security for no reasoning was very embarrassing. I also said that as a tax payer in dekalb county I should be able to shop, pay, and exit a store without any harassment or looked at as if I stole from the store. Security was rude and never apologized for my inconvenience. This is profiling period. There was a young girl standing watching by the first register as if she is giving the go for who is stopped. She said he should have apologized and that it’s a new security system and it hasn’t been fixed yet. Well miss maybe you should fix it or uninstall it. I don’t want anybody looking at me as if I stole from a Kroger. I will never shop here again I will continue to go to a different side of town where my business is appreciated and well stocked or Publix where an officer at least treat customers like they are free. As a matter of fact keep security in the parking lot where a young man was shot to death and cars are being broken into.
I was at this Kroger on 8/6/2023 and encountered a rude cashier by the name of Demorial. Not sure if it was maybe long work hours for the day, a previous customer, a co-worker that had him agitated or his manager , but his short interaction with me was deplorable! He is need of coaching and if his management ignores this review they are not only doing Demorial a disservice but this location as a hole a disservice because I’m sure this won’t be the last time he behaves this way.
The manager of this Kroger Josey Davis is very rude and unprofessional her attitude is horrible and she is very disrespectful. I don’t understand how she was hired as a manager trusted to work in customer service. I am definitely reaching out to the cooperate office to make them aware of paying customers that have to deal with this type of unprofessionalism.
When we require less of those we employee we inevitably set only ourselves up for failure. The devil is in the details. Jars and soft bread don’t belong in the same bag. Meats only in a bag. Produce only in a bag. Eggs can be bagged with a loaf of bread on top….etc….
It’s whatever “fat pockets” Kroger executives. Why would this even be a thing?!? Pride has no place anymore. Setting up your loyal customers to expect less because you undervalue training will hit eventually.
Its the worst Kroger I’ve been to. I don’t think any adults work there just teenagers and they are rude and incompetent. It’s a real dump. It smells and never has food stocked properly. I would post the pictures I took of the rude workers, but I’ll just send them to corporate
