Moved to area 2 yrs ago & was 1st time going to Kroger. Loved it till recently. Right now it’s more like Walmart. Only 1 checkout open unless you want to use self checkout. And the maned registers used to be full service. You walked your cart up & they took care of unloading, scanning & bagging. And always had plenty of cashiers. It was amazing. But they did away with that so back to unloading my own cart and 1 cashier. Turning into Walmart. Their customer service has plummeted drastically!!!!
Heard an HEB is coming soon not far from Kroger. CAN’T HAPPEN SOON ENOUGH!!!!
Why is the lady in the self checkout lane always in such a bad mood? Is it something that I did to her? No I didn’t do anything to her. She just seems like she’s very unhappy to be working at Kroger‘s. I’m not sure why everybody else seems so happy. She makes me want to drive 8 extra miles to the H-E-B.
I went to Kroger today and was met by the sweetest lady. I am changing my review from 2 stars to 5 because she was so nice.
Customer service here and most of the staff here are very rude. I went to the bathroom and left my wallet on top of the toilet paper dispenser (I do this to keep my wallet from falling out of my pocket onto the floor) and forgot it when I went to leave. After realizing this I went to try and see if it was there and it wasn’t and the custodian had went in right after me so I knew it had to be them that had it and they just haven’t turned it in yet. I went to talk to the self checkout lady who referred me to customer service. I went to customer service and they, with a very strong attitude, got irritated and threw their arms up in the air and told me they’ve been here ALL day and nobody has tuned anything in and wouldn’t help me further. I went to each lane person and asked if anyone turned anything in and they kept telling me to go to customer service and I told them they wouldn’t help me and they claimed that it was stolen then and wouldn’t help me. I went back to the first self checkout lady and I explained all of this and including the custodian and she in no certain words called me a liar so I asked to talk to a manager. Manager came down and was very nice and helpful and was going to look at the cameras since the custodian had just left for the day. One of the other workers came to me while the manager was looking at the cameras and asked if I lost a waller and said he was going thru the custodian cart and found it there. So it was the custodian the whole time and she just hadn’t turned it in like I was trying to tell everyone else that just shoved me off and wouldn’t help me. I’ve been coming here since the day this store has opened and probably have been here hundreds of times and this experience was absolutely horrible and will never be back again.
I love shopping at Kroger and getting good fuel. They are the best and I’m glad that they are lowering the prices for us as well. Thank you Kroger from a 10+year consumer
Kroger pickup is incompetent on several levels. (From the people who shop, bag, and load. ) In-store quality control is nonexistent. What are the odds of every single bag of grapefruit and lemons to be rotten and dripping juice all over the back of your vehicle? (100 percent of the time, over a years time)…Inedible fruit, including non-ripe items, overly ripe brown bananas, I have found mold on mushy strawberries and grapes, forgotten items ordered, left in the freezer (they forget to bring out to your car) the wrong order brought to your car, (unnoticed until you arrive home), over stuffed bags that hit your garage floor, torn bag handles, broken glass and salad dressing all over your garage floor, along with other damaged items (taking over 2 hrs to clean up and discoloring your garage floor)…fragile items packed with larger heavy items (example:tomato)…
It doesn’t do any good to call, (same answer everytime…we are so sorry, we will straighten it out, I’ll talk to my employees”.)..and yet a year or two later it continues with no improvement. It comes to a point in time where you need the items you order, refunds don’t cut it… you aren’t compensated for your time wasted or having to go shop for replacements. I am patient, not hard to please, but this is unnecessary and unacceptable. I am a life-long shopper of Kroger within several states I have lived, my business will now be given to HEB.
