a year agoNot a great experience. Moderately good at cleaning, not so good at having the flexibility and dependability on which small businesses thrive. Does not manage crew effectively. Demands payment the day of cleaning. Is not interested in hearing about better ways to conduct business that would be helpful to customers. She has been cleaning my condo since April and has consistently provided outstanding service. Whenever problems arise during a cleaning, she is always quick to communicate, keeps a level head and manages to find a solution. She is very accommodating when it comes to scheduling as well. a year agoHands down the best Airbnb we have ever stayed at! Jim & Terri’s guest suite truly feels like a home away from home, and we were able to settle in right away. The entire suite is sparkling clean, well designed, and full of unexpected amenities that show that the hosts truly care about their guests! We were delighted to find amenities such as coffee, coffee creamer, laundry detergent, dryer sheets, makeup mirrors, and small personal hygiene items. The hosts also provide many magazines of local things to do, and fresh flowers and chocolates upon arrival! The communication with Jim & Terri throughout our stay was outstanding, as they were always quick and thorough with their responses. We would highly recommend this stay, you won’t regret it!a year ago5 Stars in all aspects. Great location, you feel at home, and very clean. We slept great on the mattress. My husband and I so enjoyed our stay at the Morehead Manor! Monica and Daniel are the essence of Southern hospitality. They easily accommodated our late check-in time, were available to greet us, help us with our bags, and provided us with suggestions of nearby restaurants for a late dinner.
From the moment we drove up, we were enchanted with the grounds around the Manor – the Bocce ball court, the sculpture garden and the huge metalwork plaque: Be A Nice Human – a motto they have obviously taken to heart. The inside of the Manor was warm and elegant, with original, eye-grabbing art throughout, many comfortable places to hang out, and a lovely dining area.
Our room (the Tiger Room) was unique and well-appointed, with a “just right” mattress and strong water pressure in the shower. And the breakfasts – heavenly! It was a good thing we only stayed 5 nights and did a lot of walking, because every breakfast was a delicious and abundant masterpiece. Plus, the morning conversations with Monica and Daniel and the other guests were fascinating and a perfect way to begin our days. Whenever we are in the Durham area again, Morehead Manor is where we will stay.
We had a fantastic stay at this amazing place! The Edwards are delightful hosts who made our experience the best. The rooms, grounds and amenities were wonderful. Breakfasts were delicious with engaging host and guest conversations every time. We want to continue to stay at this inn with each visit to our kids and granddaughter in Durham. The charming and elegant ambiance of Morehead Manor Bed and Breakfast provided the perfect backdrop for our special celebration. The beautifully maintained property, exuded a sense of tranquility and warmth that instantly captivated our guests.
The highlight of the day was the outdoor event held on their stunning grounds. The warm, sunny, and breezy day in June made for an enchanting atmosphere. The lush gardens, blooming flowers, and gentle breeze created a magical setting that will be forever etched in our memories. It was a truly unforgettable experience.

We stayed at Morehead Manor several years ago when visiting Durham and liked it so much we knew we would stay again when we returned. And it was wonderful again! Monica and Daniel are great hosts — very attentive and know everything about Durham. We had a nice time using the various rooms in the B&B and they have added many lovely outdoor spaces since our last stay. Breakfast was amazing and they were very accommodating of our eating preferences.
I just can’t say enough about this B&B — we have stayed in a lot of them over the years and this one stands out!
