What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. It’s very nice and Lot of Stuff and they were Very helpful for looking for things. I’ve been to two different ones around me. The Employees are very nice.

  2. Not really a dollar store, they only have one small aisle of $1 items. The rest of the store’s selection is pretty good, though often limited and/or out of stock on certain days. Store is frequently in disarray with unstocked boxes sitting in the aisles. They do have a pretty good app with electronic coupons with good deals.

  3. Always a mess, hard to get through the store or reach what you want due to large carts of boxes in isles. Messy!!!

    Update since Sept.
They have hired more employees so the stock is being put away faster & not just left in an ailes til someone gets to it & flat boxes all over the store. It’s cleaner/not so messy, have friendlier & more helpful employees when earlier, they were hardly able to be found except at the register & then they were too busy to help you find something. I always spend way more than what I go in for even if I try not to get a basket or cart to limit my purchases. I end up hands full walking to get a basket or cart. Lol.

So this location on Burdick is getting better by the week. It’s closer than the other locations so I go there, but if I’m near Oak park, I like that one there.

And now since the two are owned by the same owner, I can now say that I actually prefer Family Dollar now that I’m in Minot. The Town & Country one is cool, but it’s the only Family Dollar I’ve been to in Minot so far. I would never ever ever go to the Family Dollar in Rugby if it were the last STORE on earth. They are so unprofessional, rude & yell at people all the time. My 9 yr old is scared to go to the RUGBY FAMILY DOLLAR, but will go to the RUGBY Dollar General cuz they are friendly & helpful.

So back to this Dollar General on Burdick. It’s getting better so I would say try it out if you are close to this one. Not too bad anymore. 🙂

  4. Doordashing here sucks if your trying to find toys, a whole list of toys and the shelves were so messy and disorganized I left and unassigned my order..

I loved this store the first couple years it was open… but now it’s become so useless! They went from always having un safely over crowded isles to their renovations and now they don’t have hardly anything necessary available on their shelves anymore. I walk in and they are basically empty. I miss the dollar general that used to be. Why don’t they hire someone to stock shelves over night?dollar general uses to be a huge value to our community as a small town, no longer the help it once was. I heavily rely on Amazon and avoid this store now. I went in one day and their fresh foods truck had come Before 11 and it was after 2 and sitting out… why didn’t they just put the carts outside in the freezing cold …. I don’t get fresh foods there anymore since that happened I question if I’m getting spoiled food .

One person working, Just 1. The manager can’t do it all, she is run ragged and she is rude to customers. It is a hit and miss when the store is open. Make a trip to the location, find out when we get there, “closed due to a big truck we received “ sorry but that is not acceptable. The store just went through a extensive renovation, would be really nice if the right people were working there.

Why is this place even still open? I was impressed the first time I came to this store about 4 yrs ago and has gone down hill to being an empty shell of what it once was. From over crowded isles you can’t get too or they are empty shelves with nothing useful in the store. Don’t waste a trip to this store.

Will not be shopping here anymore. They can not stock this thing properly, aisles are constantly packed with offload carts and boxes either entirely or so you can barely fit down them. Hours are hit and miss, staff is never at the counter, gotta ring a bell and hope they come or use an obnoxious self checkout. Get a night crew to stock this place or youre gonna lose alot more business.

Dollar general in valley city nd is good when its stocked. They went to big to soon and the store manager no longer cares about the store. … Just like the empty leevers store its know been a year. Walmart wanted to come to valley city nd but the mayor said no. Something has to be done or this town will crumble. People dont know the damage there doing. By being careless . the store was good till the upgrade atl least i could find things and wasnt running into people all the time. And it was stocked. Someone be dollar ger berals store mananger or someone go in there make sure the manager is calling in orders for thexstore to be stocked.its notcthe super virus its the manager not calling in forctruck orders. And treat your employess better too.
