What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. Just came to pick up an order that we made online and we were in and out in less than 5 minutes. Our item’s box had a slight tear in it but we’ll see if that affected the item when we get home. We also asked where their leaf bags were. We couldn’t find them or an employee near the area to help so we left without buying them

  2. I got this beautiful mirrors at home depot I love the mirror however , It was supposed to be fog free but It’s not. It’s not supposed to get foggy after you take a shower however that is completely false. With that being said I still love the mirror.

  3. I was issued an approximately $164 Home Depot store credit like six months ago and put it in my wallet with my other cards. I forgot I had it in my wallet and the PIN number became illegible over time. When I finally went to use it, neither the store cashiers nor I could figure out the PIN. They, however, were able to scan the store credit card balance and gave me a series of markdowns approximating the $164 in credit that I had coming. They also assured me that I would get the markdown back on any returned items. Everything was good, until I went to return some of the items and the amount that I was refunded was approximately $140 less than it should have been because, it turns out, markdowns are not refundable. I explained the situation to Home Depot Manager Jim Fitz. Jim could care less about me losing out on the $140 or so dollars. He refused to help me. Jim said the reason I could not originally use the store credit is because I damaged the store credit card and that the Home Depot was not responsible for damaged cards. I argued that just because a PIN number 3 looks like an 8 or a 1 looks like a 7 does not mean that the card is damaged, and that an illegible PIN on a store credit card should not mean that I should lose out on the $140. Jim, however, still refused to help me. I told Jim that all he had to do was tick and tie the amounts to the items that I returned to the purchase receipt to determine the amount that I was owed. Jim, however, told me that doing so was “not worth” his time. Mind you again that Jim is a store manager and that he told me, his customer, that doing right by me was “not worth” his time. I then spoke to Jason, the overall store manager. Jason was much more understanding than Jim and actually cared about resolving the issue. Jason would also not tick and tie the purchase and return receipts but he gave me what he thought was an approximate store credit to rectify the situation. The store credit that Jason offered to resolve the situation was very conservative in favor of the store and not me the customer. When I later tick and tied the two receipts at home and determined that I was due an additional $19, I then returned to the store about a week later and I asked Jim if he would give me an additional $19 store credit. Jim outright refused to do so. When I told him that “Don’t you care about doing right by your customers?” he said that he did not in this situation. When I then asked him for his full name and told him that I was posting this online review he again told me “I don’t care”. I then talked to Jason again and he almost immediately gave me a $20 store credit. Jim actually cared to help me. Jim, however, could care less.

  4. Stopped in here to buy something that I needed. I had the aisle location on my phone through the website and was asking an employee to help me find it. I forget his name, but while walking up to ask him he purposely just looks at me, walks away fast as hell to not have to engage with me. I ended up having an amazing associate named Jim take me to the area and help me find what I needed. Thank you JIM for making someone feels like a customer again. It’s appreciated after a long day of work!

  5. This store is a disgrace! Cannot find salespeople for help to find the stock they claim to have online. Most aisles are blocked either by gates closing them at one end for no perceivable reason or by piles of stock (see photo). Cannot get a shopping cart through! Trying to get down one aisle, I suddenly realized there was a fence post sticking out at eye level which I almost walked into!

I shop this and another Home Depot about 3 times per week. Just went to buy a 20v trimmer blower combo. They now have many items in locked cages , which I completely understand, however the two employees I contacted didn’t have keys and they didn’t know who did. Waited a while for them to return but they didn’t. Went to customer service desk and the guy paged someone. 15 mins and nobody came. Walked out without a purchase. Wouldn’t it make sense to at the very least have keys at the “customer service” desk !

I came in with a DIY project in mind and a VERY helpful associate named Eddie was super patient and helped me from beginning to end! He helped me figure out my measurements and all! He cut my wood and was kind enough to load it onto the trolley for me. After, I asked him where a few other things were that I needed for my project. Eddie knew EXACTLY where each item was down to location in the aisle. That is what I call fantastic customer service!

This is my to go Home Depot in the area. But I’ve always postponed my reviews after my various experience. Today I got there to pickup trash bags and I end up getting some particle board . I was politely greeted by Mr James H. And After finishing helping a couple of guest, I told him what I wanted and the purpose. He went above and beyond and help me with cutting the piece I needed.( he explain to me the cutting policy of Home Depot). Even when I was done and asking more for him, he was patient and taking his time. That location is always , well organized and their price are great. Their staff are always there for you from the moment you walk through the time you check out the door, and today Mr James demonstrated it very well.

I recently had a bad experience with a refrigerator delivery. I had a delivery person that took hardware off my door & now it won’t close properly. He was very rude when I was trying to inspect my new refrigerator & kept telling me how many other deliveries he had. He was also at my house way before the scheduled window which was fine except him raising his voice and telling me how busy he was. I could not get a real person on the phone so I went to the store to file a complaint with a manager and I have pictures of my door. I believe they should fix it. I also feel they should compensate me for the treatment I received as a customer. I will not be buying appliances from them again. I realize the delivery people are contracted out but Home Depot should care how their customers are being treated. I am sure some people are afraid to say anything. I have been in customer service my whole life and I would never treat a customer the way he treated me. I would have been fired on the spot. His behavior was disturbing to say the least.

Almost impossible to get a person in hardware to unlock the tools. After several attempts to get an employees attention & a waisted half an hour, I’ve managed to get the nail gun I needed. The sales persons would not let me read the necessary nail size for the gun because he said he immediately had to take it to the register. I needed a sander also & had the same problem. They’re so worried about theft he couldn’t be helpful to me. I also ordered 7 vinyl fence panels that took two weeks to get there and when they arrive the were missing line post and caps for installation. They stated it will take two weeks for it to get there, so we agreed that I will pick up entire fencing materials when the other Order arrives. They decided to text me stating that after five days if the fence is not picked up by customer they will send it back to the manufacturer. I begged them that my contractor is here and waiting for other shipment you guys screwed up on but we will come get the partial materials now! They stated that they already sent it back to manufacture! I’ve waited one month of my time and $1300 of my money. I immediately went to Lowe’s and saved $400 in the ordeal. Look At God. Never shop at Homedepot!
