What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. Wow, Mr Leon and Mr John were so helpful to me in the lumber department. They need to be recognized for their customer service. These two gentlemen are worth the trip to this Home Depot location!

  2. Grew up in this area. What was once the highest selling store in michigan(Because only one store in the entire city)I was dismayed to see the condition of the store. The bathroom was worse than a Porta potty. The stock was low or mismatched or totally out. I can tell corporate is aware because I see daily training that comes off like corporate sent in a fixer. Staff is mostly friendly if you can find one and freely will send you to the wrong isle to get you out of their face. If you need help find someone older and cross your fingers. I’m a contractor so I’m in the store often. Undercover security follows me around to the point I have to approach them it’s insulting and obvious. The store is trash.
UPDATE: not as much trash on the ground…. not because of cleanliness it’s because there was zero toilet tissue available. The corner stall didn’t even HAVE a tissue dispenser or toilet cover dispenser.

  3. Guettoest home depot ever.. i mean its in the hood so as soon as you park you see weird people loitering around. I guess it must so bad they have police inside or some type of armed fancy security.. When you go in you can hear staff all talking in weird slang yelling at each other from one end of the isle to the other and acting less than the profesional helpful way you should expect. Never again.. 👎

  4. I’m in Detroit now, and HomeDepot is still my favorite place for my DIY projects. Plenty of parking and fast service. I like how the associates know the store. I created this renter friendly pegboard system for just $10 worth of HomeDepot lumber.

I ordered this tile weeks ago, was informed by email that it was ready for pick up. I called yesterday trying to speak to the pro desk, manager, or anybody in customer service to ask them to put eyes and confirm that the tile is there and it’s ready for pick up. No one would get there lazy self up and go look at it. Everyone just said it’s in our system that it’s here. When I got there, I got a pallet full of broken tile and a bunch of dumbfounded, clueless employees looking at each other, saying I don’t know how that happened. After an hour of haggling back-and-forth and waiting for a manager to show up the manager couldn’t do anything but say let’s get you tile replaced but wasn’t able to give me a timeline, did not care about how inconvenienced we are how much time it took me to drive all the way up there and wait around for them to give me a pallet of broken tile so now I have to wait a few more weeks to get this tile in. Which completely destroys my projects schedule. They never offered me anything to solve this problem. They just shrugged their shoulders, and basically told me to deal with it. -5 stars!

Highly disappointed in this trip. I come to this Home Depot at least 5 days a week sometimes even more. Always have been a fantastic time until today. I will never return to this location after the way I was treated. The lady with the red hair and the tie dye hoodie was extremely disrespectful. There was an older gentleman in front of me and she’s screaming ‘card only this register’ the older gentleman said he was paying with cash and the lady starts screaming again this time in eye contact with me. I approach the register and start scanning my items. She comes up next to me and starts waving brown bags in my face and makes like a noise with her mouth in annoyance. I finally said ‘what’ and she rolls her eyes and throws them at my boss. The guy across from us was also clearly irritated at her and everyone around was annoyed at her attitude. If you hate your job then quit. Don’t take it out on the customers for literally doing nothing.

There are a few outstanding employees that work at this location but in general the customer service is not good and a lot of the associates on the floor are extremely unprofessional. Today when I was here, I waited at paint for 20+ minutes before anybody even showed up to help me. I’m assuming they’re short staffed like everyone else. I wish the Troy location was closer…

I will never make a delivery order from this company again. I am amazed at how incompetent they are at taking down an address for a 3500.00 order right off my driver’s license. This was supposed to be delivered today between 10-2 after getting a 8:30 phone call this morning from them asking for the right address because the one they had was wrong and wasn’t showing up in their maps. I gave them the correct address and the order never came. The best they could offer was a redelivery next Monday after I had already taken off work and had the guys here to do the construction all because my address was still wrong in their system.

Quick shopping trip to Home Depot to pick up a few things. Found everything on my list with the help of a friendly lady working there (wished I’d gotten her name). She was very helpful. Thank you to her. Quick check out and I was told DTE was there giving out free LED Light Bulbs. Got mine. Thank you. 😊
