What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. I came into the store to buy something. I came across what I needed but it didn’t have a barcode so I thought it was fine. I went to check out and no one knew what this item was. Everybody was looking for prices nobody could find one, so I told the man that was in charge of aisle eight if he can find me a price, he was very rude to me and unprofessional. I told him all I wanted was a price he told me he would make me a price. I was fine with it but when he came back he was charging me $20 for something that didn’t even belong to the store. I was fine with paying maybe a buck or two, but it was like he didn’t even care what price he gave me l, unbelievable then I complained about paying for an item that didn’t even belong to the store and he just continue Being rude to me. He really charging me $20 for a item worth $5 tops. I did speak to the manager and reported him he apologized, but I think it’s ridiculous to be charged for an item that didn’t even belong to them

  2. I set out to Home Depot because I needed two slabs of drywall. Steve and DeAngelo we’re super helpful by placing the drywall in the cart and proceeded to tie down the drywall on top of the Jeep for me. I wouldn’t have been able to do it without them they get 5 stars in my book. Thank you!!

  3. Home Depot is great with reasonable prices, however the service is not as good. Finding someone to help you in the department is like playing hide and see with your kids. I waste to much time waiting for assistance, not sure if they just done schedule enough employees or just want to reduce their hours!

  4. They stole $250 from me because I don’t have a receipt. according to the cashier the new rules you have to have a receipt. Even if the item said homedepot. I left all the items in with the cashier they can keep them anyway I always prefer Lowe’s.

  5. If you want terrible customer service and untrained employees to serve you then you’re going to love this place ! They had one employee dealing with returns all alone with a line that reached the exit. 30mins later another employee comes to “help” but proceeds to tell me that she doesn’t know how to do what I asked. And that I would have to wait for the other employee 🤦🏻‍♂️ Thanks home Depot for the amazing service 10 out of 10 don’t recommend !

Not sure what happened to this place I asked five different associates to help me find a water saving aerator for my sink. Four of them had no clue. The one person that I finally found told me next row over. Went and looked where he told me and not there. Wound up leaving the store after waiting an hour and a half without my item

I went to this Allentown Home depot (at 1951 Glenwood St SW, Allentown, PA 18103) for buying paint today. There were only 2 people in the paint section working when there were lots & lots of customers waiting in line. I had to wait 30 min to even talk to someone. Then there was this Mexican woman who was so very rude with me and didn’t even listen to what I want to say. She said “today we are little busy”… What a joke! Have you seen HD not busy??? Since I said one line- you need to put more people in paint section she yelled at me and asked for next person in line. What a horrible customer service. There was another big white guy in paint section who has no idea what base to pick for what color, then there is a 80yrs old guy working who cannot even move and keeps chitchatting with older customer as if there are no other customer in line!! What a horrible work force. We are remodeling our whole house. We are HD customer for more than 7 yrs now but never any HD staff treated us so rudely and didn’t took our order. I’ll never go this store again. Horrible people and horrible experience! In-competent workers and doesn’t have knowledge of what they are doing. They lack customer service skills. Should be fired or at least teach their workers how to behave politely with customers.

    1. Paid for a door measure guy said he can’t do job. So asked for money back. Refused said someone would call that night….weeks later called and said they had my info and to come in that day in next hour guy doesn’t work past two pm. Not missing work to pick a door the guy can’t install. 2. Went to get some stuff for a flooring job. Had to stop as service desk quick. Fiance waited with no line. I ran to car, put stuff in came back she was still waiting as 3 older ladies discussed is a cardboard box was trash….yep 3 people discussed if an empty box was trash without taking a single call or helping a single customer we left at the 8 minute mark….ever wait 8 minutes in line for 3 people to discuss one box? It’s worth the drive to anywhere else if you remotely value your time and money.

I made a call attempting to get information on getting my garage door repaired. The first time I was forwarded multiple times to wrong departments who kindly forwarded but then the last one hung up on me without helping. The second time I got to the help desk at front and they ended the call. I guess they didn’t need or want my business. I ended up hiring someone else who came and fixed it.

Waiting over 20 minutes for someone to come and cut a board. Seen these employees just standing around.
