2. I love the smell of home improvement stores. Maybe it’s all that lumber. I like this Home Depot location better than the one near my house. The staff are helpful, knowledgeable and aren’t pushing you to make a decision. We were shopping for a new washer and gas dryer, and the helpful associate Steve was great. He was patient, kind and gave us all the information we needed for when our appliances were going to be delivered and what to expect.

3. If I could give 0 stars I could. The Austin Home Depot was supposed to deliver a dishwasher, thier logistics company dropped and damaged it. Never called to inform us of the re delivery. Took 1.5 hours on the phone after taking PTO and Home Depot then promised delivery of a new one the next week with a $250 concession. However, they did NOT honor this agreement. Delivery was late, they refused to honor the agreement for concessions AND refused to listen to the supposedly recorded call with the promise being given. Awful experience and I hope no one else has to take extra PTO to wait for deliveries that don’t come and have customer service reps LIE to them. Beware and ideally SHOP ELSEWHERE. The Austin Home Depot CANNOT be trusted.

4. I wish I can able give this store no stars. Managers are great but most their staff don’t know what they are doing. They come to store to collect paycheck not working especially the skinny lady in flooring department. I came pickup the rest of my flooring order. It was 52 boxes in a pallet that Alex (great helpful flooring specialist) already packed for us carefully, but she wasn’t there on Sunday afternoon around 4 pm. I could able to pay for 3 boxes to pickup whole pallet I told the skinny girl but she ignored my request. She said I already paid so she didn’t care, she went ahead to cut the pallet and got 3 boxes out. She didn’t wrap the pallet up. I requested to wrap it, and she wasn’t happy said why? I told her they will be falling out of my pickup truck. She get really mad and get the wrap to put very a little bit on the top of it. The consequence was I lost 12 boxes of flooring. They flew on the road and vehicle ran them over.
   As a contractor I spent multiple hundred thousand dollars in Home Depot my opinion is:
   Please do not go to this store especially flooring department if you see this skinny girl she is very bad attitude, lazy, impolite, no responsibility…

5. They don’t even deserve the one star! OMG, I absolutely dread having to come here! The employees actively try to dodge questions or just flat out ignore you when you try to ask for help. In an attempt to avoid this aversive experience, which has happening EVERY time I have shopped in person, I have tried placing orders online. Since having items delivered is not an option because you will either be required to wait a week or pay an $80 delivery fee for a mere 1x2x4 that will fit easily in a tiny little sedan, I have now been resorting to trying to place orders online and then go pick them up myself. The first time I did that I arrived at the store about an hour and a half after the order was placed (note: the confirmation email you receive says it will be ready within 2 hrs) assuming that I could do a little perusing if it wasn’t ready because it would only be about a 30 minute wait. After an hour of shopping and another hour of waiting, I sat back in the lumber section watching multiple employees, hang out, crack jokes, avoid any questions or eye contact, etc. Essentially nobody was working on my order even though there were plenty of people available to do so and by the time I actually collected all of the items myself and asking if I could leave with them since I already paid online is when they finally started trying to work on the order. OK, fast forward… I have learned my lesson to wait for a text or email notifying me that the order is in fact ready for pick-up. So what am I doing right now? I’m sitting in curbside an hour after I was told that the order was ready and I have been waiting here an hour calling the store REPEATEDLY and never getting anyone to answer. This is probably the worst shopping experience I have ever had in my life!!!!!
