What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. This is my first time in Puerto Rico. This Walmart is cool.
    •Pros:
1} It has multiple elevators and a shopping cart escalator to the second floor. The shopping carts have magnetic wheels, so the cart doesn’t roll backwards on the escalator (causing injuries).
2} This store has all the items I’m accustomed to.
3} Cool Spanish items I’ve never seen before (this store has a few Clorox products I’ve not seen) (I couldn’t read it but it’s Clorox, you clean stuff with it.)
4} (Note: you want to buy the generic brands). The Walmart brand (Great Value brand) is the best deal in the store. Some of the other brands are Expensive (Expensive, with a capital E).
5} The store is setup just right for Americans to run around and throw some money away. (I love it)

    •Cons:
1} No bags at checkout. We bought many items; we had to use the gift bags (purchased to bring home and give to friends) to bring the items back to the hotel.

    •Other thoughts:
1} I don’t speak or read Spanish, but it’s Walmart, I know what I was looking for.
2} They have the tourist section right up front, just how I like it.

  2. The best thing about this location is the food, way better than any other walmart I’ve been. The elevators sometimes dont work properly, and even there’s 4, most of the time are super slow because all 4 dont work at the same time. People always park on the street, making traffic jams. To get to the parking, there are huge lines of people waiting. Again, the food is great.

  3. It was interesting to visit a Walmart in Puerto Rico. So much was the same, but there were differences too. One thing that stood out was the conveyor belt type of escalator to the second floor. That way, wheelchairs and shopping carts can be taken upstairs too. Ingenious!

  4. This is probably one of the worst Walmarts I’ve been to in my life… having lived in three different states and driven cross country twice… I’ve been to a lot of Walmarts. This one is really small / compact compared to all of them.

I went on a Thursday night before heading back to hotel. The lines were intense, the carts were fatty AF, the aisles were narrow AF and also not well stocked. The app didn’t match the location of there items were supposed to be, tons of stuff was behind locked glass, the parking structure was real tight.

The escalator to go up was off or broken. It was just chaotic vibes all around. I suppose the locals are used to it since it seems to be highly rated or I went on a bad day.

Basically if you have time on your hands drive to the other Walmart that’s about 5 miles away. It’s still a Walmart…but loser to 3-4 stars 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

  5. Different operations. Got to take an elevator to the store and back. Having to go in elevator with shopping carts take up a lot of space so there’s always a line to get out because the elevator can only hold so much with carts. They seem to have a system in place but I can see it getting awkward because the line is right in way to get in from store. Otherwise , inside store is your average Walmart..

Got exactly what we was looking for! Love this store and also the help! The item we got (dress) was stunning and a very reasonable price! Good quality 👌🏽 went to other stores and saw a similar dress for 5× the price we got this dress for! 👗 So glad we got it in Macy!

I went To Puerto Rico for a Birthday party and they left the tag On the only dress Alf clothes I had that means your guys ruined my birthday party because I didn’t want to assist because didn’t have any clothes and it was already after 9;00 omg the worse worse and The worse part I did ask the lady twice she’s said no everything is ok that means after spending money on my dress , flight tickets, car rental , and AIRBNB FOR NOTHING, something so easy to do like the job employees should do this is the worse experience ever

Macy’s is an excellent store. My wife and I like to shop at the store location in Plaza Las Americas. Yet, sometimes we have been forced to leave because the air conditioner isn’t working. I don’t know how employees bear working for hours so unpleasantly. This has happened several times recently and we hope the store management is doing something about it.

Really good selection, periodic specials, very nice displays. Luis Javier and his manager, Jose Torres go out of their ways to give great customer service, resolve problems and locate hard to find merchandise in the kitchen and appliance department. Clothes, luggage and make up sections are tops in products and services.

I chose a black shoe of more than 100$ and waited in the line for a VERY slow employee for about 20 minutes. When it got to my turn , she left for to get my purchase, and never came back. A women who looks like it was an impolite manager didn’t care much. So I just gave up and left. Terrible service.
