What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. It’s not like the old days when it comes to shopping at the home Depot. You want to talk about great service awesome delivery team. Shop online and still be looking online when you get your delivery that you just had ordered not so long ago. That’s what I call fast. But when it comes to the home Depot and their delivery team it’s not about quantity it’s about quality service quality products quality

  2. I like this store and do frequent it on occasions…. but…. if you “need help” or “have questions”…. go to Lowe’s. The Home Depot has none or very fer employees that can answer questions or help you. This is not ment to be ugly. It’s just the truth.

  3. Got everything I had intended to purchase plus a few more things I had not intended on buying. Ladies at the paint counter were pleasant, helpful and prompt. The only reason no five star review was the lack of cashiers in the garden center. Just one was open and the line stretched back to the paving stones. I felt sorry for the one cashier as she was hurrying with orders and seemed a little flustered, but she kept her professionalism. Another lane did eventually open up and the congestion eased up.

  4. The hiring process just to be an employee not a semi truck driver is a nightmare. You would think that you could possibly get an interview within the first week of filling out the application online. Negative. I was hearing bad stuff about the HR employees from a home depot employee. I was trying to see what would happen and not focus on the bad. I’ve called home depot back multiple times left messages and I guess they threw away my application and don’t need me for a third shift position anymore. Knowing that they pay almost $19 an hour. It’s almost like an insult when some of these people don’t even care enough to do their jobs as in hiring people to make Home Depot an even better store even though their employees are complaining about the bosses there.

  5. Wow. Customer service still exists. My sink order became unavailable and I was on a time crunch with countertops being installed. They went above and beyond to make sure I had what I needed. Even gave me a discount to try to match the price of the one I ordered which was on sale for the replacement. They made it quick, easy and hassle free. Throughly impressed with a big name company still going so far out of their way for customers.

Assistant manager, Michelle, was extremely rude and unhelpful. I rarely leave reviews, this is actually only the second review I have ever left. When I asked to speak to a manager about a product, she informed me that she was extremely busy and had other things to do. If this is the way that Home Depot associates treat customers, we will not be back. Also, did you know that Home Depot chooses to throw out cabinet displays? Yes, they trash them. When I asked why, I was told that they couldn’t be guaranteed because they had been used in a display. While I understand that they may not be perfect, these cabinets are still 100% useful. It is no different than buying a vehicle “as is.” I asked why they didn’t donate them to a charity, and was told that it was easier to just throw them out. What a horrible waste!

At this location on post is worse place to go for customer service. You have a employee standing right beside you and will not ask if you need help. Or walk right past you or stand beside you and not help you. My wife and I went somewhere else and spent $10.000 on carpet. I wonder what the stock holders would think about that? The security person and store manager should be ashamed. I hope this review goes to corporate!

Last month I had ordered a dishwasher to be professionally installed but they failed twice. First, they complained about the way the old dishwasher had been wired and requested that I get an electrician to fix it. Second attempt, they gave me the excuse that they couldn’t mount it in the space provided. At that point I told them to cancel and give me a refund. So I decided to go with Lowe’s instead and they didn’t have any issues at all. My impression is that they installer for Home Depot was inexperienced and simply did not know what he was doing. This would be 1 star, but they at least hauled away my old dishwasher free of charge.

Most are rude here. It’s not like the home depot in Northern Michigan where I typically shop… Started a business in Indianapolis and have shopped here at this location and I’m highly disappointed. The staff couldn’t find invoices and then accused us of making up prices. Contacted someone back in Michigan to help me. The service was awesome. Having my products delivered from Michigan to post road to minimize rude and gross staff behavior. Thanks to Michigan for getting it right. Shame on Indianapolis’s east-side location!
