What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. I’m sick of this store, their stock is never correct and they’ve lost any employee’s that used to want to help. Ordering online to pick up in store hasn’t worked once, and they’ve even lost items that they’ve said were ready for pickup. The Oakland store is better in terms of helpful staff and products.

  2. Check your receipts!! 2 of the 3 times I went here the price doesn’t match when is says on the shelf! Last time, I almost got charged $14 more for small $1 stick of wood. THEY WILL NOT believe you unless you take a photo and show them.

  3. Like most Home Depot locations this place looks like they literally threw the stock onto the shelves. Very few employees seem to care about working here and could care less about helping you find something. Also good luck getting a lumber cart. If you don’t need major lumber or 100 bags of concrete I recommend Ace on Grand Lake. It is exceptionally well run and super organized with a huge selection.

  4. I would give Home Depot in Emeryville a four-star rating. One positive aspect is the presence of a food kiosk out front, offering a convenient option for a quick bite while shopping. It’s great to have access to food within the store premises.

However, there are a couple of areas that could be improved. One aspect to note is the key cutting machine, which can be unreliable or not properly maintained at times. It would be beneficial if the key cutting service could be more consistent and efficient.

Another area of concern is the self-checkout process, which can be slow and sometimes frustrating. Improving the speed and responsiveness of the self-checkout system would greatly enhance the overall efficiency and customer experience.

In summary, Home Depot in Emeryville earns four stars for its convenient food kiosk and the positive option it offers for quick meals while shopping. However, addressing issues with the key cutting machine and improving the speed of the self-checkout process would contribute to an even better shopping experience.

We are contractor and pro member so we usually order bulk items online but Pro store doesn’t have all items so we have to pickup a few items from Home Depot Colma II store. If you need specific item or have question about the items most staff doesn’t have any clue. A few regular guys are good and they know their department very well but most customers will not get what they want unless they find it themselves. Staff are not good with up keeping the inventory. Most shelves are empty and not actively refilling the items. You have to look for the SKU # from boxes above the shelves. We buy a lot of plants and garden items from here and you can see the selection is not very good. A lot of plants in the pot need soil and root balls are showing. Staff are not cleaning maintaining the walkway very well or sweeping the floor.

I was at Home Depot to get some plants and they have a real nice variety right now. The employee in the garden center was super nice and helpful. He explained to me about the type of soil and fertilizer to use. They didn’t have this anti-mold spray that I wanted for my deck though, so I was sad about that. It showed it online. They also only carry specific brands of wood filler. Not enough choices.

Went in to buy a gas powered 14 in chainsaw, the associate helping us was rude as hell. After noticing the box had been opened and assuring us everything was inside. We brought it home and the only thing in the box is the disassembled carcass of a extensively used chainsaw, with no gas cap, bar and chain, no shield for the end of the bar closest to you, missing purge pump and no hardware to attach them if they were present. Looks like a old display model.

This place is booming! There are so many people inside the store that i feel something unusual is just about to happen. But than i realize that most people buying staff for their houses or condominiums to fix things themselves instead of hiring the professionals to do it for them. Good idea! Save money, learn something new and it is guaranteed that the job will be done well because you do it for yourself. This place is also good to rent tools and not to buy them if you want to fix something just one time. The Power Tool Rental provides this service. Finally, in order to save big, anyone needs to keep eye on the yellow tags that shows the price ending with the number ‘3’ like $6.03 which means the item will be moved to clearance or donated to charity in 3 weeks. Therefore, it shows the cheapest price the item will ever go. And that means it is a perfect time to buy. Good luck!

store is pretty easy to navigate if you’ve been to any big box hardware store before. not too messy, well organized for the most part. found what I needed quick and parking was easy since it’s after business hours
