I go here because its close to home and easiest for me to use my wic benefits, I have a favorite employee in every department and the aisles are always clean and well organized. With that being said, the restrooms are normally disgusting… like really bad. Some of the younger kids really seem lost and costumer service folks are normally just standing around. Management is horrible. Crystal Guzman has horrid communication skills, it results in everyone being flustered when she comes around because her demeanor and tood is literally that bad. It’s “A helpful smillee in every aisleee” not a mean mug around every corner.By Diamond Christina (2 months ago)the self checkout is the most frustrating part of my shopping experience. i always have fantastic customer service at the delicatessen or if i need help finding an item but as soon as i go to check out, i get nothing but attitude. i never buy a lot of groceries at once and i sometimes don’t feel like talking to someone in a checkout line so i opt for self check out. there is never a time i’ve gone there and the check out process has been smooth. either they don’t take cash at any of the stations or some lady is watching every move i make way too close to my personal bubble. as someone in the service industry, majority of my income is cash, and it’s convenient to pay that way when i need to pick up a few things. the lady who runs self check out is rude and extremely unhelpful. she treats everyone as if they are children and takes over the self check out experience, grabbing items from my cart for me and over explaining how to use the system. i have been buying groceries for myself since i was 18. it’s frustrating and an invasion of my privacy. i understand that someone has to watch over so there’s no theft, obviously. but when i go to any other hyvee or target or even walmart, i do not have this experience. this location needs some major tlc from management and some training on customer service.By Ally Bemus (2 months ago)We used Hyvee on Waterfront for our florals at our backyard tent wedding. We came here once when this place opened but hadn’t come back snide and I wish we would have this place is better than I remembered! They have thousand of things you can’t find anywhere else! It’s well worth the drive to get some cool stuff from here! The employees were so nice and helpful as well! I was surprised by the prices as well it was way cheaper than I thought it would be we will be back 1000%
We have been going to this Trader Joe’s every week for five years! It has been a joy. The employees are so friendly and I love chatting with them about how to use new grocery items. This was our last week visiting as we are moving and they sent us off just as friendly as all our visits. Make a special trip for turkey day and see the Captain Todd dressed like a turkey haha! My kids talk about it all year.
We visited Trader Joe’s to get our favorites today.
Almond Windmill Cookies!
A buttery, shortbread-like cookie, topped with almonds for added flavor and crunch. They are a super snack and a delightful dessert. And they’re shaped like windmills, of course!
I am older, but act like a child and dip these cookies in milk most of the time. They are SO good! I’m glad I discovered them. For me the only problem is, they disappear too quickly!
We’re also going to try a few new items: Cnocchi Cacio, Coffee Cake Muffins, and Carrots of many colors!
Just shopped here with my husband. We’ve been coming for a while since we love it so much. But today was extra special. The cashier asked us our weekend plan, and I shared that I was performing at a show in Cedar Rapids and we had our opening night last night. As we were about to leave, Alex, who helped us at checkout, gifted me a bouquet of flowers. It made me feel so happy and joyful. Thank you, thank you for making this girl feel special.
The BEST Trader Joes that I have ever been to. The team is so nice and so helpful. Great atmosphere and clean. Parking can be chaotic so go during the early morning or later evenings.
