What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. My wife and I were very pleased that they had a good selection of indoor plants at reasonable price’s. The staff at checkout line were helpful too. I tried to pay cash on the card only machine and they made the proper adjustments for the sale.

  2. Everyone is helpful and tells you where the item you’re looking for is as well as guides you there. Pretty much everything is there in good order. They also have plants, furniture, and snacks. It’s definitely a place for tools and more!

  3. I have been to this Home Depot a bazillion times and not once have I ever been stopped on my way out. I literally bought my items through the receipt in my wallet and was walking out when this elderly customer was blocking the exit with their scooter. I stood there for 15 seconds waiting. The audacity the self check out woman had to come up to me while I was past the check out counters to ask for my receipt absolutely infuriated me. I don’t have time to mess around. You were standing right there the entire time I checked out. You either check out my product or trust me to do it myself but not both. I had to dig in my purse, grab my wallet, and find the dang receipt….what if I had done the email only?? Huh? Would you have made me pay again??? Absolutely ridiculous.

  4. Things are almost always in stock and everyone is always very friendly. You might have to look around to find someone. When you do find them, they’re happy to help. The staff have personalities and smiles. It’s my go to place when I need something related.

  5. Very decent parking. Lots of lawn and garden items are now outside with staff waiting to help you. The inside is clean and there’s plenty of help to ask where something is. There’s even one guy walking around asking you to sign up for a contest. I felt welcome.

Long story short I had a poor experience of dealing with warranty on my impact at the Woodlawn location where their inventory claimed to have 13 to replace my impact but had none and seemed to have no idea what impact I owned anyway. After reporting that to corporate Matt from this location (next to Kellogg) called and I told him the story and he had none in stock. So he ended up driving all the way to hutch to get me my replacement instead of having me wait several days to see when and if they would receive new ones. I appreciate his help because I use that impact everyday as I work on cars and I can’t afford to simply be down several days without a working impact.

Had a great time here. The guys and gals worked with me. Needed a1 by 12 ,5.5 feet long to cover top of mantel, turned out it was way cheaper to get 2 by 12. They cut it made sure the ends were smooth and carried it to my truck.

I bought 2 bags of concrete earlier and , when I opened them, it was very clear that they had been wet. I called to let them know and they were rude and did not give a single %$*#. I wasn’t even asking for a refund because I sure don’t want to haul bags of open concrete in my car back to the store. Just a “hey check your stock” call. I’ll definitely be avoiding them in the future! What a terrible way to make money from damaged goods. If you’re planning to buy concrete, I guarantee they did nothing after my call. Avoid the Quikrete 50 pound bags. Better yet, avoid this store that doesn’t care at all.

I wanted a new kitchen design. Brand new layout. Home Depot was highly recommended by our contractor. Told me to go to appliances and ask for a kitchen designer. I stood waiting for about 10mins while the old lady with glasses talked harshly about her coworkers, complaining about her hours, and talking about quitting and moving back to another state. Didn’t even acknowledge me. Instead of interrupting her and asking for her help, I walked away. A woman in the flooring department, Melissa, I believe her name was, smiled and asked me if she could help me with anything as I walked by. After being ignored by the first department, I was surprised she saw me. I explained to her why I was there and told her how the other employee ignored me. She apologized for the other employees behavior and recommended a gentleman named Tom who would be more than happy to help me, but he was at lunch. She didn’t have his card but wrote his name on one of hers for me. I will make sure he is there before I come back in. She then offered a special they had going on with free carpet installation. I don’t need carpet but I will be back to see Melissa for vinyl flooring installation in the future. Home Depot needs more employees like her. The other employee, I can’t remember her name, the “kitchen designer” who seems to hate her job and co-workers, is not someone I’d want working for me. On my way out another employee, Dillon, stopped and smiled asking me if I was finding everything I needed, along with some others before I walked out of the store. This experience was negative and positive. I hope the managers at the West Wichita Home Depot see this review, because I believe some changes need to be made with who they employ there, for the customers sake. I have plans for a complete renovation on my 3 story house for my wife and 3 children. I want to find a company who is friendly, and willing to help.

Worst experience I’ve ever had in big box hardware store . The teenage staff had no idea of the products in their department. Their immediate supervisor had even less knowledge. I had to show how to loop the 60ft cable I needed and then hunt down some tape to hold it together! It’s a busy Saturday afternoon, and guess what? They only have self checkouts. A total of 4. I checked the items that had bar codes. The cable I had to call for help. The one assistant rang the code in which turned out to be wrong. She told me I needed to get the correct one, which I did. In the meantime, she made my partner move away from the register so others could use it. Two minutes later, I returned to wait in line again . We left leaving the goods behind.
