2 weeks agoMy first time shopping here love the quality merchandise although quite pricey. They have some one of a kind clothing which you won’t find in other stores thats why I went in to shop. Was a smart move on my part will make another visit soon4 months agoI actually enjoy this Macy’s it has a variety, and you usually find everything you are looking for! It reminds me of NY Macy’s. Plus, people are nice. The only thing I didn’t like was there was a man in the girls’ bathroom! I have children so I’m very careful !a month agoThe top floor at this Macys is the best! It has all the sale items and small items like eyeshadow pallets, phone accessories, and the mens and woman departments are separated. They have shoes up there as well.3 weeks agohorrible. i bought a lot of lancome….and she sells me the wrong concealer. they do not know their products. only noticed when i got home. will go to warwick from now on. i prefer the lady who sold me products over there.4 months agoThe Backstage section always has super cute clothes for a discount and you don’t have to scour through racks of one-offs to find things. Bad exchange process. I ordered a doll for my daughter for curbside pickup. We picked it up, took it home and opened it, and found out it was defective. It would not talk and sing when the button was pressed but it spontaneously sang all night.
I tried to process the exchange online but the online chat system was not working and it kept kicking me out before a representative appeared, and there was no number to call, so I brought it back for in store exchange.
When I went into the store, there was a rather long line at what I thought looked like the customer service counter, and I confirmed before waiting in the line but it was where I was supposed to be. I said I had a defective item for exchange and they said to wait in the line, and they would take care of it when it was my turn.
When I got to the front of the line, they returned the doll and handed me a paper slip with my star points credit and the receipt for the refund and said I needed to take these upstairs to the toy department and then purchase the doll and they would honor the price.
After going upstairs, looking around until I found the doll, and then waiting in another line again, I checked out and they tried to charge me the higher price without the $10 credit. It took another few minutes to sort out getting the correct price and accessing the $10 balance since they could not use the receipt/voucher was given from the downstairs customer service desk.
Overall, this took way too long and was a significant hassle particularly for an item that was a curbside pickup that turned out to be defective. As a busy mom (whose daughter woke up, baby got fussy, and family got hungry while waiting for me to get home from dealing with this extended exchange process), I am not in a rush to get something from Macy’s again.
The MAC dept in Macy’s is my favorite. Sales staff A1. New sales agent had been there 3 days & went above & beyond too compliment my needs & choices when my product wasn’t available. Signed me up too in order to keep a record of my purchases.
If you asked me to review Macy’s at Warwick Mall three months ago, I would have told you to run screaming in the opposite direction. However, their Sales Associates have vastly improved since then.
It’s now much like the way Macy’s used to be – Associates who listen before responding, and recommend products that meet the customer’s needs, not the product they want to push.
The associates were very helpful and nice, recommended a great suit that matched me, and also a perfume that my daughter and I loved. Also, the Starbucks inside was a pleasant surprise!
Unfortunately I did not get the name of the gentleman who helped me, but he was a very friendly, hardworking and dapper man in the men’s suits section. It’s 8/7/23 and he said his shift was ending (6:30 pm now). Anyway, probably the best customer service I’ve ever had. Guy clearly likes his job and is good at it. I hate shopping. He made it fun. I’m glad I came to the store when I did. Found me the sport coat I wanted at the price I wanted.
