What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. If I could give negative stars this Kroger would deserve it. I waited in the express do it yourself lane for someone to help me it rang up my lettuce one head $79.80. He came and voided and left before it was resolved. I could not ring it up. He said he had to help someone else and helped 5 others before me. After that every thing I rang up, it was forcing me to call for help. When he finally returned he pressed a button and it did not fix it. He walked away and I said I needed to talk to the manager. She said he could not fix it, and I replied he should have told me that before walking away. With this type of awful customer service I won’t be back.

  2. No handicapped carts were charged and ready for use. Had to waddle with a grocery cart on the foot I’d had surgery on. Went to the express lane and it rang up my lettuce as $80.00 for 1 head. Person in charge saw my light on and ignored me. Said he had to help the person in front of me, and helped everyone else.

  3. This used to be my go-to place for groceries, but it’s declined a lot in the last 2-3 years. Now I only go when I need one or two things that I know they’ll have, but after today I won’t even do that. It’s a complete mystery when the deli will be open. I went at 10:30 today and me and another man stood at the counter for 5 minutes while two employees were talking. Finally, one of them asked if we were waiting for the deli (duh) and were told it opens at 11. I left and came back at 11:05, then waited again but nobody was around. I wandered around that area and tried to ask a couple of employees but my questions were just answered with shrugs.

  4. Last month or so every time I go to Kroger, whether its after work or on the weekend, only one cashier is working. People are lined up down the food aisle and the self scan people are lined up in to the produce. I see employees standing around the customer service desk watching. Someone needs to tell them its not 2020 anymore.

  5. The store looks really nice and has plenty of variety. Bummed I didn’t see the Gehl’s nacho cheese anymore but it’s been a while since shopping at Kroger so it’s probably been gone a while! And I was excited to see the yogurt with fruit at the bottom.

Had an issue with an employee on 09/04/23 around 7pm. I didn’t catch his name. I don’t know if he was convinced we were stealing or something but we on the big SCO with a belt. The cashier immediately comes over to explain that we have to scan our items a certain way. He came over several times to explain this, in fact.

I had a yogurt that I scanned and it rang up as a jar of marinara sauce, he came over to help remove it from the order. He was talking over my mother and myself when we attempted to explain the problem, only citing that we must have scanned something the wrong way. Like my dude, I have no marinara sauce in sight.

It just felt like he was (maybe?) making it very obvious he thought we were stealing because he also came over at some point and just stood behind us without saying a word as I checked out.

Broken glass ALWAYS in parking lot, checkout machines are the size of a thimble, Kroger cards magically don’t apply discounts regularly here, and so many things constantly out of stock. I come back every few months to this location to see if it’s better, but there’s always problems

filthy, literally trash everywhere inside and out. No produce bags on the stands but plenty strewn across the floor. Always shortstaffed due to poor management, prices have almost doubled on some items, daily theft happening, theres no loss prevention in store, the past few years theyve implemented several “anti theft” devices which just inconvenience the 90% of people just trying to pay. Theres never any managers and when you do find one they’re rude and act like helping you is an inconvenience. If you like shopping in chaos and supporting abuse of employees keep coming here! Only a matter of time before the store has a complete re staffing or its shut down.

I needed one item. They did not have it, but I found a replacement – no biggie. As soon as I scan my one item, an Attendant notification goes off. He takes a few minutes but turns off the alarm, and then before I’d even TOUCHED anything it goes off again! I waited ten minutes watching the attendant do anything and everything but come over before I finally switched registers and left. ONE ITEM!!

Seeing an obvious rented portable surveillance camera in the parking lot should have been my first instinct to just leave, entering the store I was greeted with unmannered children playing / riding the handicapped carts whom felt the need to exchange rude words. The store is filthy, all self checkout, no liquor (for obvious reasons I now see) icing on the cake is being when I got home to notice my bag of 10 tortillas that seal was open, and would you believe it? Yeah, nine in the package. Disgusting un managed filth. Never going back.

I’ve been to the meat department several times over the past months, there is a terrible (something died) meat smell in the meet department. Another couple and myself were walking near the meat counter and we just looked at each other in discussed. How can anyone buy meat with a smell that makes you gag? I stopped buying my meat there. Don’t the workers in the meat Dept or anyone smell that? 🤢

Prices keep going up uP UP… yet the number of cashiers keeps going down down down… Sunday 6/11 at 1pm and there’s only ONE cashier with a line all the way to the back of the store.

Except for a huge wait for a self checkout machine to use. Have to say it was a pleasant shopping experience. Has most all brands stocked. Nice staff very helpful when asked for assistance.

The entire area refers to this as the “s***ty Kroger. I’ve never seen one worse, even in Toledo. First time there, mice running back and forth from charcoal pallet to under the aisle displays. They don’t keep things stocked. They do absolutely nothing to get lines moving. And in my 2 years up here I’ve seen/heard multiple altercations in the bottle room. Staff is usually really nice, but that ain’t going to cut it. When you’re constantly out of something, enlarge your order. Get pest control and find a way to staff the place.. rather go a little further to the “nice” Kroger, also located on Michigan Ave

Have been going to this location for many years mostly because it’s close to home. One of my major complaints is the bottle return machines. First it’s all the way in the back of the store but most importantly its almost always broken. I have went to return bottles 5 separate times in a month and each time maybe one of the 3 machines is working and there is usually a line. I go elsewhere now.
