What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. Great looking store, and staff was friendly. Good clothing selection. TJ Maxx doesn’t disappoint. This particular store had quite a large clearance section for women. Bonus: shopping plaza has other stores to check out and Starbucks!

  2. Nice layout for the store! They have a lot of inventory of many different items. The employees weren’t overly friendly but didn’t look like they hated their jobs so that was nice. Decent experience I will be back.

  3. Good store and good prices, plenty merchandise I stock. I will like to see more employees in the floor. They had plenty of cashiers and loss prevention but no employees in the aisles. Good to shop here.

  4. founded in 1976 in Framingham, Massachusetts, by Bernard Cammarata and the Zayre chain of discount department stores. Zayre had tried but failed to purchase Marshalls, so Zayre hired Cammarata, who had been Marshalls’ head of merchandising, to create a rival chain. The concept proved so successful that Zayre sold its namesake chain to Ames, a rival discount department store, in September 1988. In December, Zayre announced a restructuring plan for the company and was renamed as “TJX Companies, Incorporated”. TJX bought Marshalls in 1995.

In the fall of 1998, TJ Maxx opened the store chain AJ Wright. This chain was closed in January 2007.

In March 2009, TJX launched an e-commerce site. At first only selling handbags, the range of items was later expanded to include clothing, shoes, jewelry, other accessories, and some home goods.

Outside of North America, TJ Maxx is known as TK Maxx. The name was modified to avoid confusion with the British retail chain T. J. Hughes. The European headquarters are based in Watford, Hertfordshire.

  5. The lady in the jewelry department is very aggravating! You come in the door and she is psst at you about a credit card. That is just a turn-off, and the last time she did it, I walked out of the store and went somewhere else to spend my money.

I have been coming to this location for over 2 years. They have best prices on absolutely everything I want or need. Anytime I was pressed for time and needed to find something particular there was always someone around I could ask for help. Lines sometimes get long but the store always has enough people with smiles on their face running the registers. Manager who was on duty today was extremely helpful. Highly recommend this place to my friends.

I was looking at the perfumes. The one I liked had no lid, and has clearly been used. I used it to see what it smelled like as well. I asked if they would discount it. The chick working said she doesn’t mark stuff down for missing a lid! I said it’s used, missing a lid. It’s a tester at this point but thank you. Make it make sense.

They have great selection but the line is always unrealistically long!! Leave an additional 20 min to wait to pay….i end up rarely making a purchase because of that.

Thank you to Sharon for stopping what she was doing to help me with a price. The mattress pad I wanted had no price so she went up front to make a price tag for me. She was so kind and happy to help.

I am a regular customer and I’ve been going to this store since I moved down here, which makes it about five years. In the first couple of years the store was neat and organized but the last couple of years have been havoc. As you can see in the pictures the store is a mess and it is always like this day and night. The shoes are just everywhere, they are not on display, and you have to really be in the mood to look for any shoe that they have. The shoe section is not the only section of the store that is a mess… the register and both men and women sections are a mess and there is no one cleaning or working on it AT ALL. I understand that they are a very business store but the store should not be in that condition NO MATTER WHAT because I work in retail. Their are barely employees on the floor for customer service, and if they are… they don’t have customer service skills. Greeting customers does not exist at this location. The employees are not wearing work attire and if the dress code is more casual… then the standard is not followed. The night manager is SOOOOO loud and it does not look good for the company at all. The lines are usually long, which I understand, but their are barely employees at the cash register. When the employees who are working at the cash register see that the line is getting longer and longer, they will call on the intercom for help and NO ONE comes. So if you’re looking for a speedy checkout, YOU CAN FORGET IT. The only section that is great, is the dressing room section but it has to be the dustiest place I’ve been in. Management is definitely to blame because TJMAXX is way more clean and it is not ran like that.
