- Reviews:I love this particular store. They always have more than what I’m looking for and it’s always stocked. The line to checkout, is usually pretty quick. My only qualm is that I spend too much money. Every. Single. Time.By Brynn Acosta (2 weeks ago)Great shoe collection for men and women. Similar to the other discount retailers that carry mid range apparel. I did notice that they had more of the higher end brands. I will be going back to this one and spending more time.By J G (3 weeks ago)I typically do not leave reviews after shopping. The four stars are for Freda from my experience on, May 3rd. Freda was polite and professional. I would give Two other female employees zero stars due their laziness and apathy to customers waiting in line to check out. They were chatting together as one returned a shopping cart. Openly ignoring customers waiting in line. Freda assisted two customers before me, another directly behind me while other shoppers made their way toward checkout. The store was hot that day, i considered abandoning my purchases and leave. I watched as Freda patiently assisted customer after customer as the two other cashiers continued idling. Despite two other register lights on, Freda was the only person at a register. I typically shop online, however, i appreciate Marshall’s unique inventory. The apathy of the two young women, intentionally ignoring waiting customers at the entrance doors was quite rude and unprofessional. Where was a supervisor or manager? I couldn’t see either of their name tags clearly as i left. If it was their break, they showed poor judgement. Marshall’s really deserves employees who care about their jobs and customer experience. *****FIVE STARS FOR FREDA*****By Felia Shadows (a month ago)I used to love and come here! But it has became a horrible experience the last few times visiting here. Staff are rude and ruin your shopping experience. The place is dirty and over expensive for what you are buying:( over all go to another marshalls in the area. This has been the biggest let down!By Maysen 4431 (3 months ago)Always has a huge selection of everything. Housewares to kids toys. The best part is evrything is usually the best prices in valley. The store is usually stead customers and is nicely organized. 2 floors to shop around in with both stairs access and elevators as well.By Tommy “Tomas” Salazar (6 months ago)

This is by far for me the best TJ Maxx location. The store is clean, well lit, organized and they have more selections. They carry anything for men, women and kids. They have a wide area for clothing, luggages, colognes, skin care products, makeups, kitchen and bath items, shoes, cooking utensils, cooking oils and spices, pastas, cookies, chips, chocolates, workout accessory items, bedroom accessories, photo frames, home decors, lights and fixtures, furnitures, area rugs, pillows, beddings, towels, blankets, items for your pets, jewelries, gift items and gift wrappers and they always have a section for seasonal items. They also have snacks and chilled soda so you can have a quick bite when you get exhausted of too much shopping ???? The staff here are very friendly and helpful too. You can always see them busy stacking things up but are always happy to help customers. They have maybe 10 or so cashiers so line is moving even when it gets crowded on holidays. They have huge parking which is shared by other business in the vicinity.
I didn’t really find what I was looking for but the cashier who checked me out, savannah or something like that, was sooo friendly, I find it hard to get exceptional customer service anywhere these days but she was funny and put a smile on my face. Keep it up 🙂
Tj Maxx and Homegoods off 1300 E in Brickyard is not the largest Salt Lake has to offer, but it is my go to location! Best place for decor pillows and great small rugs and fun dish rags! Love this gray and white dish towel set so much I’m using them for table napkins! Oh, and the tea pot, yellow chick’s, faux apple blossom, and placemats are from Homegoods, too!
I haven’t ever felt compelled to write a review before but I’ve never been treated more poorly by retail employees before. I’ve worked for this company before and customer service was always something we were taught was most important. Being someone who is soft spoken it is already difficult to stand up for myself and this situation ended up with me crying in the parking lot. This older lady was my cashier and freaked out over a small misunderstanding and called over her manager to talk to me, they both were horrible and were so mean to me!! I don’t understand why I was spoken to in that way because I had even tried making it clear in the beginning that it was no problem for me and i just wanted to help the situation to avoid any conflict. I was so shaken up that i left my wallet and the cashier table and had to return later that day, I’ll never return again after fear they will be there again, and neither of them had apologized for the inconvenience.
The store is currently undergoing a remodel, and it’s a complete mess. Merchandise everywhere, and aisles pushed so close together that two people can’t shop in the same aisle at the same time. Save yourself some stress and checkout a different location until after the remodel is done.
