  2. Ace truly is the place! My dad and I go there because the customer service is exemplary, the store is clean, they have some really cool items that are unique, and associates don’t run the other way when you need help like at the big box stores.
    They truly set themselves with their service.
    Shout out to Hanah for her help and to the Ace rescue dog, Tony Stark, he’s awesome!
    Last thing, sign up for the Ace customer rewards program, my dad gets “high value” coupons every month.

  3. I stopped in here to get a couple truck keys cut that I ordered off Amazon. I was told they had a policy to not cut keys if not bought from them. I could However buy their version for $34 and they would cut them.

    I have a policy too. If a business has a policy against making money and doesn’t care for my $15 then I wont do business with them anymore. You keep your keys and I’ll spend my money elsewhere from now on. My family won’t be shopping here again.

    I found a locksmith right down the street from this place, Champion Lock and Safe and was in and out in five minutes. Great service and veteran run too.

  4. Amazing location. Love me some Ace Hardware. I love how they put an Ace Hardware in the middle of high residential areas and not off major highways. Pricing is a little higher, but the convenience factor is worth it.

  5. I am a Lowe’s customer but I was near this Ace,I needed a car key made and they say upto 60% lower than dealership,I had my blank key and I needed an extra key,just a cut.
    1) they don t use others’ blanks.
    2) They don t have a lot of keys in stock,mine had to be ordered and it would ve taken a few days (a week?).
    3) $191.00 plus tax for my key,nah! dealership charges $220.00 and it takes 15 minutes.
    I would pay $100.00 tops,but I paid $70.00 for last key,I programmed it myself.
    Ace is not for me,I ll stick with Lowe’s…but thanks anyway.

They just have everything from gorgeous personalized wedding gifts like silver platters and wooden cutting boards to small kitchen appliances to beautiful dresses & clothing, old times children’s toys and it’s a hardware store all rolled into one. They also offer cooking classes some days. Such a fun experience to look around & find a perfect gift for someone or for yourself. Do yourself a favor & drop in. You will be very glad you did.

    Love this store in the heart of the Alamo Heights! Pleasant personnel, beautiful decor and variety of gifts – toys, accessories, jewelry, home goods, kitchen supplies, gorgeous gift books. Never leave this store with the empty hands.

    UPDATE: This place is awesome! For such a small store, they always have what I need or can order it quickly. The phone staff is also helpful in finding things I need before I go. I purchased something on ACE Hardware’s website and picked it up here. Patrick was very helpful getting everything sorted and making sure the product was ready upon my arrival. I will be back!

    Had breakfast at BOSS Bagel and popped into Sunset & Co for a quick look (1st time visiting). My friend and I were deeply offended as a staff member followed us around the store making us feel very uncomfortable the entire time we were there. Needless to say, we will not be returning to this glorified hardware store.

    My friend and I had a great time walking around the store. All the folks working the floor were very nice and helpful. But the woman working the cash register was so unnecessarily rude when my friend asked her how to apply a groupon that I refused to make a purchase.
