If I could have given 0 stars I would have. The store was filthy. As we were walking in, one employee, named Eric, was standing outside at the front door smoking. To get into the store, my son and I had to walk through the smoke. As we walked through the store, we found it difficult to even find what we wanted. There were boxes everywhere, shelves were a mess and there were also half empty soda bottles as well as other garbage strewn about. I ended up going to the store on Blanco and West to find what I wanted.
WORST DOLLAR TREE IN SAN ANTONIO!! So I went there after work 04/14/2023 knowing it’s not my favorite one. Its always so messy and the line is always ridiculous, but it’s on the way home so I went anyway. I walk in and off course, there’s ONE cashier open, the line is going down the aisle. I see two other employees walking towards the front gossiping about very personal issues like they were at home instead of at work. I found that so unprofessional. A customer asked if they could open another register because the line was so long. One of them VERY RUDELY replied, “Why?” The lady said because the line was long and the employees said, “Ma’am, there’s only two people in line!” She said, “No there’s not. The lines going all the way out to the aisle.” FIRST OFF, shouldn’t have to be asked to do the obvious and help the one cashier out with a long line, especially since you aren’t doing anything. Second, you don’t need to be rude to the customer with a response like that. It was rude and loud in front of everyone. She did open another register, but with an attitude talking mess about it with the other employee. A short time after that, I’m in an aisle and hear talking about the same thing again. I thought, “This better not be those two employees again.” Yup, it was. My goodness. The language these two were using. How loud they were talking. No one wants to hear about your ex and his new girlfriend and him wanting you back and the other one giving love advice! Like come on. Do that OFF THE CLOCK! That’s why this store is always so messy and filthy!!!! Their appearance was very sloppy themselves. I’m sorry, but the owner needs to monitor his store better and hire people with more class and more pride in their work and appearance because as soon as you walk in, you already want to walk out. What a shame.
Unshoppable. Trash and product everywhere. This could easily be blamed on the employees but if inconsiderate customers are going to trash the place like that, why should they have to clean up after them!!
This place was a MAJOR let down. With how big it was compared to other locations I was excited to see all the different products. Unfortunately the place was a disaster. Most of the shelves were either completely empty or were so disorganized that I didn’t even bother looking through it. There we 7 employees working when I was there which is more than I’ve ever seen at any location at one time. With the amount of active employees there should be no reason for it to look the way it did. I wish I could say better things about this location but sadly I will not be returning in the future.
Store was vry messy, ALOT 9f shelves were empty, prices were reasonable, staff vry friendly, out of stock on ALOT of products 9n shelves, K-9 Police officer walking around in store, very highly secured police wise inside & outside for this particular store to have a lot of empty shelves of generic products. Frozen food area was highly stocked, but the rest of this stores products & shelves upon myself entering the doors of this store was shocking. If the shelves were not empty, it had barely any products on the upper & middle shelves. The isles were clean and lower shelves were full of products of all sorts of things from snacks to paint brush with paint pan kits for house painting, lots of kids stuff. Shelves on aisle were full of hanging products. All in all, this store looked like the pandemic hit it if u needed laundry essentials, cleaning essentials, toilet paper, etc far as household essentials. Pet products were reasonably stocked and snacks. I only browsed for about 4 minutes and bought 1 item for $1.25 + 10¢ tax = $1.35 which most items I saw was priced for $1.25 in the laundry detergents, dishwasher detergents & pods, and cleaning supplies. Staff and city police was following me around because I had a backpack on. Which was no problem and understandable. But whatever transpired at this store before I decided to visit for my very first time I don’t have any clue what transpired. But the store is very clean and the staff is very friendly. Prices are economical and reasonable if you’re on a tight budget. They just need to restock most of their sections on the shelves of what I needed to purchase.
