    I have had two very simple property sale transactions managed that went smoothly using Morris Notary. I approached Kieran about processing another property sale transaction that needed to be completed in a timely manner providing 3 weeks notice. He assured me this was possible and had been advised direction from a third party family lawyer on what it entailed.

    His staff provided me incorrect payout statements several times and when trying to connect by phone with them twice to clarify, they never called back. The transaction did not get processed on time and he blamed it on lack of direction or delays, despite having access to direction from myself and family law lawyers. It appears that he may have left it to his assistant to manage and it was out of her depth. I felt for her as I feel she lacked experience and support.

    Nonetheless, it cost me thousands of extra dollars incurring more expenses when the payout did not complete by the deadline date. His only excuse was it was complicated. When I sent him a gentle email regarding the inconvenience and cost because he was billing me additionally for the lack of expertise and taking longer, I naturally sought to inquire about the role the organization played in this.

    He contacted me immediately by phone defensively and aggressively cutting me off not allowing me to speak stating it was complicated and accusing my email of being aggressive. I reviewed it and I am a working professional and educator. It was in no way accusatory but exploratory about shared onus and accountability to inquire about what the precise delay and issues were. Blame was placed on other factors. I found his phone call traumatizing. The way he spoke to me was unprofessional and verbally abusive. He asked to disengage services which further delayed the transaction I believe because he recognized he was in error and wanted no liability or simply could not do the job he was retained to do.

    My new notary handled the transaction with no issues and called to clarify with the odd question he needed resolved but was further delayed a week as Morris Law had not discharged the mortgage statement requests as only one notary can access information at a time.

    I am appalled at the experience, lack of accountability Kieran Morris presented to avoid any responsibility when errors were made and basic lack of professionalism trying to deflect the issues and raise his voice on the phone and not let me speak unprovoked.

    As a woman, seeking out services to support a life transition, I feel he employed intimidation and abuse of power to evade acknowledging his inability to complete the job he was hired to do. Very poor communication. I have an email thread of the timeline and feel this lawyer breached his professional responsibilities to the public.

    We hired Jerome and his office to help us negotiate an unorthodox home buying situation – I recently purchased a property with two friends, with each of us contributing a certain amount to the down payment. We initially sought Jerome’s services to help us draw up an official agreement between the three of us regarding resale or subletting of our percentage of the property, and from this experience, I really cannot recommend Jerome enough. Even before our initial meeting, Jerome gave us a draft outline based on our unique situation that helped guide us towards planning for circumstances we hadn’t considered on our own. During our consultation, he further pointed out areas regarding the division of expenses in conjunction with our respective ownership percentages of the property and was able to give us advice surrounding clauses that we were unsure how to decide between ourselves. Furthermore, Jerome was nothing but patient, efficient, and incredibly thorough when it came to both explaining conditions, and when we eventually signed our deal.
