We had a great experience with them, from the moment we walked in for some information till the moment we walked off the boat. We seen one whale floating around the boat for at least 30 minutes before we moved on to come across a whale that was kelping and also floated around the boat for at least half a hour. After that we continued the trip towards the Little Rock formations with 3 types of seals and a sea otter. We had a wonderful day with the crew and the weather was great.

We grabbed two seats on the zodiac adventure and Tyson was our captain! He was very friendly upbeat and easy going, he didn’t chat our heads off and let us enjoy the silence and the beautiful scenery. Thanks so much for such a magical experience, humpback whales, and killer whales, seals and the most spectacular sunset I’ve ever seen ever. The movie life of pi? The sunsets, the colors, it’s identical. 10/10 my only complaint is there’s really no age restriction, so we had to accommodate the little one who would scream if we went to fast, and honestly I paid 300 to go fast. If I wasn’t going to see whales I wanted a zodiac adventure, not me feeling horrible the entire time the kids screaming and ruining videos. I do wish it was cheaper if you have no age restrictions. I brought my 14 year old son and the little ones talking non stop and side eyeing the captain to slow down spoiled it for him, we came to get away from his little siblings….

Absolutely wonderful experience! Great day on the water and a nice atmosphere all around. Katie and Kate(I think) were our guides and did a super job, very kind and knowledgeable. Also Linda the photographer were lovely. We saw humpback whales, seals, sea lions, Waldo the sea otter and all in all it was just great! Thank you!

I was able to achieve my bucket list because of springtide! They were so helpful and Ian was amazing in showing us how to spot the whales. It was an amazing time to share with my daughter and we were so lucky to spot whales! In case you get a cancelled reservation from other companies try calling springtide they all work together in filling up enough boats to go out for the day!. I would definitely recommend springtide for anyone looking to book in Victoria. We rode on the zodiac and it was so much fun with my 12 year old! Can’t wait to go back! Thank you!

Visited on July 3rd, 23. Tyson was our skipper and boy, he’s a born entertainer! What a great experience & I can happily check this off my bucket list.

We saw a pod of Orcas(4-5), A massive Humpback Whale, Several Seals, & a wonderful scenic view.

I rode the Zodiac and it’s the perfect choice if you want some thrill in this adventure!

We had a really great experience on the water with BC Whale Tours and captain Grant. The boat was great and a much smoother ride than we anticipated. The suit kept us warm and their is a bathroom on board. I wouldn’t plan to use it but it’s nice knowing it’s there of necessary. During the tour we saw 4 Orcas, about a dozen humpbacks, and spent ample time by the lighthouse observing (and smelling) the sea lions and seals. Captain Grant provided great information and had good feel for how long to spend in each area. Knowing what we know now, we would absolutely book with them again

Saw transient or Biggs killer whales (matriarch 109A, her adult daughter and two juveniles), harbor seals, sea lions, shore birds and lots of great views. Shoutout to Captain Jimmy of the Tika. Truly a great way to make memories and spend time in awe of our natural wonders here in the PNW.

Key info – the captains are very experienced and know the area well. Ours handled the boat in rough winds and white caps like a champ. There is also a bathroom on board! Oh and they give you marine/survival suits to keep you warm and safe. I’m a bigger lady (20w), my husband is 6’3″, and my mom is petite at 5″, and they had plenty to fit us all.

What an amazing experience. Grant, our captain was extremely knowledgeable and a lot of fun. It was the most wonderful 3 hours out on the water. I highly recommend them, our boat seemed to go faster and further than anyone else!

Captain Jimmy was very knowledgeable and entertaining. We had incredible humpback sightings, but unfortunately the orcas were hiding yesterday. Up close to hear and smell the sea lions. These boats provided a great, uncrowded experience. There was dry storage under the seats and only 2 to a seat, for great viewing all around. We felt safe, comfortable and warm – would definately recommend this to others!

My wife and I had an excellent time, provided life suits helped with the chill out on the open water. The TIKA zodiac travelled very fast and was fun even without the added bonus of actually seeing a whale. Boat operator was cool and courteous of the other whale companies on the water, ensuring we offered a chance for other company clients to get a view as well. All in had a great time!

Top Travel Agent Alternatives in Victoria

A travel agency is a private retailer or public service that provides travel and tourism-related services to the general public on behalf of accommodation or travel suppliers to offer different kinds of travelling packages for each destination. Travel agencies can provide outdoor recreation, arranging logistics for luggage and medical items delivery for travellers upon request, public transport timetables, car rentals, and bureau de change services. Travel agencies can also serve as general sales agents for airlines that do not have offices in a specific region. A travel agency's main function is to act as an agent, selling travel products and services on behalf of a supplier. They are also called Travel Advisors. They do not keep inventory in-hand unless they have pre-booked hotel rooms or cabins on a cruise ship for a group travel event such as a wedding, honeymoon, or other group event.

The Biggest Travel Agent in Canada

Victoria is a thriving city in Canada that offers a wide range of travel options for locals and tourists alike. While traditional travel agents have been popular in the past, there are now several alternative options that offer a more convenient and cost-effective way to book your next trip. Here are the top three travel agent alternatives that are very popular in Victoria:

  • Online Travel Agencies (OTAs): Online travel agencies have become extremely popular in recent years due to their ease of use and competitive pricing. Websites such as Expedia, Booking.com, and Kayak offer a one-stop shop for booking flights, accommodations, and rental cars. They provide a wide range of options and often have exclusive deals and discounts that can save you money. Additionally, these platforms allow you to read reviews from other travelers, which can be helpful in making informed decisions.
  • Travel Comparison Websites: Travel comparison websites, such as Skyscanner and TripAdvisor, allow you to compare prices from multiple travel providers. These websites aggregate information from various airlines, hotels, and car rental companies, providing you with a comprehensive overview of available options. They often have helpful tools and features, like fare alerts and flexible date searches, that make it easier to find the best deals. With travel comparison websites, you can save time and money by quickly identifying the most affordable and convenient options.
  • Direct Booking with Airlines and Hotels: Another alternative to traditional travel agents is to book directly with airlines and hotels. Many airlines and hotel chains have user-friendly websites and mobile apps that allow you to check prices, availability, and bonus offers. By booking directly, you can sometimes access exclusive promotions or loyalty rewards that may not be available through other channels. Additionally, some airlines and hotels offer flexible cancellation policies and customer support to ensure a smooth booking experience.

These travel agent alternatives provide a convenient way to plan and book your trips while offering competitive pricing and a wide range of options. Whether you prefer the ease of online travel agencies, the comprehensive comparison features of travel comparison websites, or the direct booking perks offered by airlines and hotels, Victoria has plenty of options to suit your travel needs.
