Anywhooo, Gilbert was nice enough and did a price check on a rug for me. The female cashier ,w/ glasses, wanted me to go get the prices of my items that the tags had fallen of. I got one price for her but when she got mad about another rug without price tag, I refused because I I saw a laziness pattern developing. And today was the day I was supposed to be paid 3 days or not I am still owed wages. I had to resign after my doctor’s told me I had a health problem that would no longer allow me to work on my feet as this issues can cause me to get dizzy and faint. Which is super unsafe so I did this job a favor by allowing them to know after I was discharged from the hospital that I was no longer able to continue this job. But I worked and haven’t been paid. If this issue isn’t fixed ASAP I will be contacting the bbb and filing a report with the appropriate parties. Tried calling over 5 times and no answer. Normally I really like this store. However, the other day I went at 8:55pm (5 mins before they were to close) I just had to get 1 thing real quick but their doors were already locked!! As I was getting ready to leave I noticed 2 other people come also. One was at 8:56pm and the other person at 8:58pm and the doors were of course still locked. I thought wow they just lost 3 sales in the course of 3-4 minutes cause they wanted to close a couple minutes early!
I really like dollar general. They carry my favorite cookies. Not everything is a dollar, and some things are as much as Walmart. The stores always seem messy and disorganized, but I think it’s because of being short staffed. They are always trying to stock shelves, wait on customers, and run the registers. They have plenty of stores nationwide. Easy to find, very visible.
I never used to shop there but can’t remember what I needed but decided to go in and I’ve been shopping there ever since. There prices are great, I haven’t found anyone that can beat them, and they have the Dollar isle. Alot of stores have had them but got rid of them, the things they sale on this Isle are amazing, if nothing but that isle existed I would go there. Staff is always great never had a bad visit.
This store has done a complete turn around. I went into this store a few months ago and it looked like the crew abandoned ship. Dirty and out of everything. I went in now and it looks like a completely different store. Shelves are stocked, floors are clear and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Definitely will be shopping her more often!!!!

. We all get it…you hate your job, and you make sure the paying customers are at your mercy. I would be amazed if I saw an employee be proactive for example if a customer ask a if there is ICE how about you don’t guess and actually give the right answer which would have been No we are all out. The customer could have gone to a store that did have ICE which would have been very helpful. At the time I was in the store I saw 5 employees 3 of which were behind the reg counter. These two girls talked and talked about some baby and how cute the name neal is and complained about work both oblivious to the line getting longer and longer. To make it even more frustrating I saw 4 shopping carts everyone of them had freight/go backs in them. So I made 3 trips with cases of soda, dog food, bottled tea and some cleaning items and piled them where I could as we shuffled towards the casier. When I asked for the cart with the less amount of merch in it easy to put in a bin and stacked on one of 4 U-boats that were on the sales floor. I was told No. I was floored By this because I have 45 years as a Retail Mgr. Finally even though the 2 girls never stopped talking one of them opened a register for cards only. Well what do you think she did next since everyone had cash. She turned back around and chatted some more. 2 shop lifters were able to walk out and I gave the cashier the heads up that a habitual shop lifter is in the store. Did not mention it to anyone. I made 3 trips to my car and swore never again I’ll go to the Juan Tabo store it’s amazing!
