What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. This walmart stores cashiers, most of them are lazy. They never help customers to pack the groceries. I am a regular customer here. I just found Leann, Peggy and Teri they are helpful staff. Others just scan and literally just wait for us struggling to do our own bagging while there is long line behind us. Management should notice this. Lot of staff giggling here and there but when you ask something they never know anything. I always get simple answer i dont know.

Further one of the staff at self check out literally accused me trying to steal the blue recycling bag at the checkout counter. Eventhough myself told her how we can pay for bag. She was so rude comeone i am paying 250$ groceries why i cant pay 0.99 cents bags.

  2. My concern is about one of their employees (Indian guy). It happened early this morning today, we are done buying out stuffs and about to leave. Our car was parked beside his car (sedan) and he did not notice that we are already inside our car. He opened his door and INTENTIONALLY slammed strongly to our car, leaving a scratch and a clear dent. I can say it’s intentional since he didn’t even look into our car considering the loud banging sound it created. He was surprised when i rolled down the window and told him what he just did. He said sorry but he needs to face the consequences of his wrongdoing. It’s very alarming as it appears to me that it has been his usual doing to slam his door to every customer’s car that will park beside his car. Disgusting behaviour of a Walmart’s employee in Bayfield.

  3. This place has been going downhill for the past few years now. My main complaint is the lack of stock on the shelves. Just in the past few days I’ve gone a couple of times looking for items advertised in their flyer on sale and they are not in stock. These being the greenhouse grown strawberries and the Sponge Towels paper towels, for example. Many times I have foregone buying items at other stores to get them here only to be disappointed they don’t have them. However, when I go to the South End store they have plenty of stock and well organized. I go here because it’s convenient to my home however and I can’t always make it down to the South End store. So it’s not a system problem but a store problem. I have been shopping at this location ever since they opened so for 15+ years and go there twice a week, but lately it’s always been disappointing. My friends and relatives say the same thing, many things are never stocked on the shelves and there are many bare shelves.

Also asking a store associate for help is a disaster, they are very hard to find on the floor and when you do ask it’s like you’re imposing on their time, they are not happy to help with a friendly smile. It makes you feel like you’re inconveniencing them much of the time.

I am shopping here less than I used to as well ever since Walmart stopped price matching, and go to FreshCo instead, but that’s another issue not the store’s fault.

One thing I do like about the store is their returns desk, the associates there are usually pretty friendly and make returns easy and no-hassle.

Also they often have panhandlers at the entrance or in the parking lots which make people feel uneasy and they don’t do much about it. Just drags the whole shopping experience down. Thumbs down!

  4. I was at a self check out when I realized I needed a bag. I asked the cashier for a bag and she told me to wait. I stood around for a minute and then went back to my checkout. I paid for everything and started packing my own bag. The cashier then came over and told me I would have to pay 0.35$ for a bag. I told her I had already cashed out, and she told me it was too bad. No wonder Walmart makes 145 billion dollars in profit a year.

  5. Honestly never deal with any of the employees when I shop here, just get my stuff and go, but today I called about an item inquiry and honestly not impressed with how it was handled. I usually wouldn’t complain either, but I was firstly talked over by the first customer service rep I spoke to.. so that wasn’t impressive. Secondly, the other customer service rep I was handed off to, pretty sure she left me on the phone and left the phone for almost 10 minutes and I was just hearing people and kids in the background; whilst having the person doing my shopping looking around and standing and waiting for no one to come to the aisle that was “supposed to be checked” for this duration of time. Pls improve your service!

It gets super super busy sometimes. Definitely need to take some extra time and you’ll be waiting in lines for a while. But the staff are really friendly and helpful. If you don’t mind the extra wait times then it’s a pretty good Walmart to shop at

I have been coming to this Walmart with my mom for several years now and we both enjoy seeing and talking to one of your greeters, I believe her name is Olivia. She is such a sunny happy person and she delights us with smiles and sometimes a song. Thank you to Olivia for making our shopping so much more enjoyable.

Thank you Olivia! She always brightens my elderly mom’s day. Mom enjoys seeing Olivia and hearing her singing. Olivia always takes time to talk with her and we really appreciate her friendly words and kindness.

Difficult to get assistance when many of the employees are on phones or conversing with each other…management included. Shelves are disorganized often causing confusion with the true price and at times sections are bare. Great convenience if you are passing through Barrie, but no longer my “go to” place for shopping. Greeter often seen on evenings is one of the few pleasant faces in the building… She deserves ☆☆☆☆☆.

We like shopping at Walmart, usually friendly atmosphere. One thing we have been seeing almost all the times these days is that the crew take their brake inside washrooms on their phones occupying it, which creates stress for people needing urgent use of it. These washroom are supposed to be for public not lunch Breaks. Specially Walmart stores in Barrie. Why the store managers do not see this.
