- Reviews:Very friendly, helpful volunteers/staff. When I entered the building, I was overcome by the smell of cat urine. You need to sign in before you can go back to see the dogs. As I walked through the kennels, I was heartbroken when I saw that the dogs had nothing soft to lay on. Some dogs had a sheet, but they were all peed on. There were puddles of pee and some had feces on the floor. I arrived at the shelter around 2:45 PM and they closed at 4PM. I don’t know, but the kennels might have been dirty if they clean-up after visiting hours were over. I’ll be going back because I found a beautiful boy! He’s so cute. I wasn’t allowed to pet him because my application had to be approved first. I can’t wait to hear back if they approved my application. The adoption fee for the medium sized dog I found is $285, which includes neutering, shots, microchip, etc., and I find that very reasonable. Please adopt, don’t shop. ????????????????????⬛????By Lois Wisler (4 weeks ago)I can’t even express how wonderful these workers are. I grabbed a stray cat and gave him shelter from the cold. After calling five different vet offices, I realized nobody cared about helping me get him checked to make sure he was well and safe to be inside with me. Someone at one of the offices even suggested I just throw him back out, even after I told her he was friendly and had obviously lived in someone’s home. I was devastated and panicking. When this shelter returned my call, I burst into tears on the phone and babbled my whole story. Not only did they tell me they could help the cat, they were also able to get him an appointment the very next day. They removed a few ticks from him and some other general wellness things. More than that, they gave me the peace of mind that what I’d done was right. Thank you so much for being such amazing human beings and spreading so much positivity and love among humans and animals. P.S. the cat is safe, warm, and asleep on my lap as I’m writing this!By Bri Kelley (7 months ago)I went to look at cats. The same day, they let me sign in and go into the cat rooms to interact with them. I went home and filled out an adoption application. A few days later, I went back and picked out a cat. ???? ????. They spayed her and microchipped her . Three days later, I was going home with my furry baby. I am absolutely inlove with her. It was a pretty straightforward deal , the staff was helpful friendly and welcoming. They were cleaning , feeding,walking the dogs while meeting dogs to their potential families and still answered the phone and looked happy to be there. From scheduling her appointment to her pick up after her surgery, it was all handled very professionally and the staff was truly caring and on top of it all! I highly recommend taking your pet here to be spayed or neutered, it was very affordable compared to what our private vet would have charged us. Her incision was sutured so well you didn’t even see any stitches. Thank you all for what you do for all the animals!!! And we also take her here to be groomed, Jess does a fantastic job, again would highly recommend for all your pet grooming needs!!!By Mary Koshinski (in the last week)I came for my first assessment with trainer, Lucas, yesterday. His consise articulation and knowledge of a wide range of training styles was very impressive. He was able to walk and pet my extremely reactive (nipping) rescue. He also taught me to handle my 1 yo shepard,who pulled on a leash and is reactive when seeing other people or animals. As soon as anyone walks in the store you notice they greet everyone. Whether it’s “Hi, how are you?” ; To “Good morning!”, or just a simple “Hello” is very welcoming. You can always find someone cleaning around the store which means they care what their store looks like. Animals are cleary taken care of. Employees are super friendly, they try their hardest to ring you as fast as they can when there’s a line buildup and always call for backup. This store is definitely the best Pet Store in the area!
The person that helped me at checkout was super nice and friendly. Also, Steve, the dog trainer was fabulous on the phone. They also honored the lower sale’s price on their website.
The groomer, Paige at PetCo on Lehigh St in Allentown did a great job on our dogs. Very pleased with the service she provided. We’ll be back!
I stopped by to get a few things and this store had everything. I got the bird food I needed and a couple treats for my neighbors dog. ???? This store is neat and tidy and the staff was very helpful.
I called ahead to ask if they had the fish i wanted. I told them i was on my way from 40 minutes away and confirmed that they’re open until 7. When i got there at 6:33, they refused to sell me fish because they were closing in 30 minutes. I’ll never go to this store again.
