What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. I love Costco, but recently, while stocking up for our teenage grandchildren’s visit, I bought a monster-sized package of strawberries. I Always rinse them and clean them with a solution of vinegar water, then dry them before putting them back in the package, and in the refrigerator. I went to eat them this morning, and half of them were ruined!!!!!! Berry Berry upsetting, Costco! Not worth the trip. I had some (from Harris Teeter) that were a week old, after my washing routine, that still were edible! BUMMER, Costco!!!

  2. Love Costco… but they are supposed to load the cars for you if you pull up in front of the building with your cart, and I waited 10+ minutes while 4 employees walked by just pushing carts. I wouldn’t normally leave a review for this but I am 8.5 months pregnant and couldn’t do it myself, and had frozen food melting in the cart and a fresh pizza in the car. I’ve worked customer service, and you prioritize the customer’s experience over store tasks (and there shouldn’t have been 4 of them on cart duty). I had to call the store to send someone out. Service is great unless you’re unable to load the car yourself.

  3. I LOVE Costco! It doesn’t matter what city, state or country you go into one they are always clean and the employee’s are nice and helpful. Also, I love the brands of different merchandise they carry. It’s 98% of the time excellent quality at great price. And if you don’t like it, they will take it back without a hassle like a lot of other big retailers give you.

The only “negative” thing I can say about Costco is that there is not enough of them where I live now. They really, really need another one on the east side of Greensboro, NC. (hint…hint..)

  4. There were a lot of people there at the time that we went. However, that’s didn’t stop the great deals that were at every corner, including a 31lb watermelon! The watermelon was sweet and so huge that we had to share it with family and friends.

  5. This is for the Greensboro location.

Parking is busy, but the packing is ample. And the usual Costco size parking spots make it easy to park, even if you have a truck. They don’t help pull the shopping carts up to make it easy to grab a shopping cart. Also, the door doesn’t greet you with the Southern warmth that you would expect. Oddly, they have a walk-up eye test window that I’ve never seen anywhere. The food court is indoors in front of the check-out lines, so it makes it tough to get by when people are waiting for their food.

My worst experience in a Costco food court was here. They push you to use the kiosk to order your food even though there wasn’t a line. The counter was not friendly. They failed to even engage at all with people and only would be friendly to select people — and we were not those people. This was not an management issue but an employee issue.

The store was not crowded, and the lines moved pretty quickly. The selection was good, but the layout was oddly narrow and didn’t flow as well as other Costcos in the same area. No employees working in Electronics or Jewelry or any of the major high-profile areas which was surprising on a pre-holiday Friday afternoon.

Self-checkout was not friendly either. They even questioned if I was the person in the photo! I’m pretty sure I’m not an underage person trying use their parents Costco card.

I would honestly drive 15-minutes more to the other Costco location.

Midas 2-stars for the unfriendly service.
