What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. There is no where else I’d rather eat breakfast! Conveniently located downtown, you can choose from sweet or savory breakfast options. My go-to’s include cinnamon roll french toast and the various flavored pancakes. When I’m craving something more hearty, the Supreme Omelette is filled with meats, veggies and is oh so cheesy. This place stays incredibly busy – for good reason- so go early and know that it’s worth the wait!

  2. Always wanted to try this cafe’ because everytime I pass its always crowded. Luckily on this day, still was packed but was able to walk right to the bar. Strawberry mimosa are fantastic. I recommend the New Orleans Omelet. As I seen people waiting they were moving pretty fast. The Cafe is pretty small with max cap at 187. The staff was courtesy and professional. I highly recommend for brunch. Good eating.

  3. Hannah was our server. I don’t know her personally but she was a fantastic waitress. We asked for her opinions and recommendations and she was SPOT ON. We were so pleased with our order choices. The restaurant was nice and clean. The breakfast foods were delicious. I am glad we chose this option on Google maps because now we can’t wait to visit again and try more. I applaud Hannah for being polite, courteous, informative, and attentive. Sunday 4/10/22 at approximately 9 am.

  4. Great service and food at every visit.
It is very busy on weekends so be sure to get there early or reserve a table. For this visit we had the hot chocolate, pound cake French toast and lobster brie omelette. Service was quick, food was delicious and flavorful. Definately a great brunch spot with friends or by yourself. I love their oversized booths, so you can spread out and enjoy your meal. Will be back!

  5. The wait time is always long, especially on a Sunday morning, but it is worth it. Go on their website to join the waitlist before you arrive so you just have to check in when you get there, it’s faster. Our waiter provided excellent service, had some great recommendations and was overall very helpful! Their mimosas are great, my favorite was the strawberry one.

Third visit here and the food and service is consistently very good. Even though nothing seems to be made to order it is very tasty meal every time. The food is simple and arrives exactly as stated on the menu. I ordered the fried chicken and was surprised when the waitress asked what pieces I wanted, not just dealer’s choice. The garlic mashed potatoes were just that, add a little salt and pepper and start eating. A little pepper vinegar for the collard greens and dig in. The wife ordered the chicken fried steak was very satisfied. Gravy was simple and hot. Okra and Mac and cheese were good. Very clean place with a nice motif.

WOW….all I can say. My wife and I just ate here and we will definitely be back. The Atmosphere, the Service, and especially the Food. I got the Fish & Shrimp Grits (Blackened). Cooked perfectly and the grits were creamy and cheesy. Wife loved the Fried Chicken….but the kicker was the cinnamon and sugar yams. I am born and raised Southern, but have never had Yams that good. Loved em. If you are local, or visiting, you gotta check this place. Soul food at its best.

Our first visit to Five Sisters. Ashley, our server was “on point “. She answered many questions and had great menu recommendations. The restaurant was spotless. My party ordered a variety of items from the menu. We were all satisfied. It was worth the visit for the shrimp and fried green tomatoes alone! The portion size was very generous. Just a great place to enjoy a meal and hang out!

Went there for an early dinner on Wednesday. Had 50c wings with several flavors to choose from. Wings were pretty good and I would have bene satisfied with just the wings for dinner. Also had the catfish and shrimp grits. They were okay. I’ve had better grits but the catfish and shrimp were excellent. Kids had the 2 piece chicken and chicken tenders with fries, and mac and cheese. We weren’t a fan of the fries but the chicken was moist and very tasty. Had 2 drinks which I thought were pretty weak but a decent taste (strawberry jam and a tequila blues) I would visit again. I’ve been here before and they were better last time. Honestly I think they just had an off day. I’d definitely go back for just the 50c wing Wednesday.

An exemplar of fine southern dining. This was my first visit to Five Sisters, and it most assuredly won’t be the last. The jazz atmosphere, wonderful staff, and absolutely bomb food will make you wanna slap ya mama. The flavors are all robust, the fries and chicken are perfectly crisp with no grease. Good enough to make me sit there and just eat it in silence and awe. Looking forward to the next visit y’all.

I was pleasantly surprised with the great tasting, high quality options. The staff was friendly and attentive (even offering water for my puppy as we waited for our food at the outside dining area). The food was delicious, served hot and fresh. The ambiance was very inviting. The restrooms were impeccable, which speaks highly of this very busy and rightfully popular restaurant.

This place was PACKED. Had to wait an hour to get seated. But that wasn’t an issue because it was WELL worth it. Even as busy as they were, they were very attentive. Got our food in less than 30 minutes. And it was AMAZING. I was blown away at the quality of this food. They got all of our orders right and it was all hot and fresh. The biscuits were the BEST I’ve ever had. Made fresh and so soft and fluffy. I’d give 10 stars if I could. The eggs Benedict, just wow. The chicken was crispy and juicy and so fresh. The shrimp omelet was perfect and so cheesy you could stretch the cheese to the ceiling. Not enough words to describe the satisfaction we had from the restaurant.

My daughters and I made a last minute decision to come here and try brunch and we’re so glad we did. Bloody Mary is pretty spicy so keep that in mind if you order one. I also tried the breakfast margarita and that was good. They were busy but we were still seated within 5 minutes of us arriving. I really enjoyed my Bennie. The fried chicken on it was cooked perfectly. My oldest daughter said it was the best omelet she ever had. The biscuit really tasted homemade. And you definitely have to try the butter with the biscuit. You’ll thank me later.

Our server was amazing!! I believe Kelly was her name; the food was delicious. I had the omelet with fresh fruit and cranberry juice. I highly recommend The Ruby Slipper for any meal. It is a variety of food. I’m sure you can find something great to enjoy. Let’s not forget mimosas, coffee, juices, and sodas. Whatever you order; you will enjoy and go back time and time again.

We tried this place one Saturday morning and I don’t have the words for how good this place was. That said you definitely want to call in to reserve or check in ahead of time because there will be a wait. While you wait you can go to the bar and grab a drink. I had a Bloody Mary that was excellent and my wife had a mimosa flight that she loved. This place was amazing try it out!
