  1. I’ve been taking my 5 year old Phoebe here for about 2 months now, and I am so excited for many, many more YEARS to come.
    As a mother who has watched her 5 year old little girl struggle emotionally and mentally with being physically and verbally bullied at school, All I wanted to do was see her smile and provide her with an outlet to build confidence that was destroyed, built back up, learn some discipline and even some self defense so she can defend herself if needed. My spouse said “let’s try karate. It worked wonders for me as a kid.” So, we googled and found KICK and it was the best decision.
    TJ, Tiffany and the rest of the staff have been so patient and kind with Phoebe. Shes greeted with a smile and a high five every class, they always talk to her on her level, encourage her, and have given her something to look forward to. After leaving her 2nd class, she said “mama I love Karate, they’re like another family, they’re so nice.” It made my heart smile to see her so happy.
    There morals of Self Control, Compassion, integrity, humility, and perseverance have rubbed off on my little girl and her confidence is back up, and now when faced with a bully she says “PLEASE STOP” and shows amazing self control by walking away and getting an adult to resolve the issue.
    From the bottom of my heart to the staff of KICK, thank you for all you do for our children. You’re all a blessing to so many!

  2. Our son has been going here for about a month now and we couldn’t be happier with how well he’s doing. He stays so tuned into Mr. Ben and the rest of the instructors, who do such a good job with the Little Kickers. Our goal was for him to learn discipline and have a good outlet for all the energy a 7 year old has and he’s gotten all that and more! Would highly recommend for anyone looking to get their kids involved in martial arts.

  3. Such a wonderful organization. The staff, instructors, and family’s are all a joy and positive influence to be around. My child is loving the classes and the skills and I am loving the threaded aspects of respect. Could not be happier.

  4. Recently put my son into kick karate. After trying 3 different other karate places.
    By far. Kick blows the other 2 out of the water. They are helpful,considerate, well staffed and building is clean and well maintained. They do outreach and give back to the community. Teaching all the fundamentals you would want as a parent do our son. My wife and knew thus was the place after our 1st session. If you’re looking for a place to enroll your child. I would absolutely highly recommend Kick karate.

  5. My son and I have been doing Gracie Jiu Jitsu for about a month now. The instructors are extremely knowledgeable and are great instructors. They really break down the lessons in digestible parts.

    The atmosphere is great. Always a welcome smile when walking through the doors. If you live in the Northland and want a Gracie Certified Training Center (CTC), this is the place to train!

    In town for the week and dropped in to train here while in town. Jason was very welcoming and so was everyone at the gym! Made me feel right at home on day 1. You can tell it’s a good culture here with everyone looking out for each other. Learned a few things due to great instruction from both Jason and Carlos. They break down techniques in a way that makes sense – paying attention to each detail. Got some tough rolls in also. I’ll be back when in town again. Highly recommend to anyone.

    I coached a youth judo program that went along with the youth jujitsu program for quite a few years here before moving out of town. Without a doubt the very best club I’ve been a part of. Owner/Instructor Jason Bircher is the best youth coach in the city. By far. We worked with kids of all ages, skill sets and personality types, ensuring an amazing experience for all youth. The overall goal being to teach the kids about a great sport, and instilling confidence in them where other facets may have failed. My best times coaching will always be at this place. This club will always be home, and I recommend anyone new to the sport to check it out, I promise a great experience!

    The range of experience is in this place is wide and deep. You will learn a lot. If you’re looking for a place to drop in for some good rolls, look no further. And if you’re looking for a brand of jiu jitsu that you can take anywhere, you’ve found the right place. Great people too!

    What an amazing place! I’m so impressed by the training and instruction I received here. The gym is laid back, extremely clean, and feels like home for everyone who comes. The instructor Jason has never met a stranger. Look no further!!

    Great place to train. I hadn’t trained in kickboxing for many years, but was welcomed. The place has very good, patient instructors that are happy to work with you. If you are interested in this, I highly recommend it.

    This is a great place to workout and learn self defense. They will meet you at the level you are at and work with what you have. I love learning and trying new skills in class. I’m so thankful they kept working with me when I couldn’t do one single push-up or burpee. Now 3.5 years later my health is better in my fifties than when I was in my thirties and forties. One of the best things about the academy is the instructors. They are professional and will push you to do your best. I can tell they really care about their students safety in and out of class. I’m healthier and have more confidence and skill than when I first started. And for that I’m forever grateful to the best instructors in KC.

    I have been taking Krav classes for over a year and have never regretted signing up. My confidence has grown and I am in better shape both physically and mentally since starting. The instructors are really great. They have patience with me when I am struggling with a new move but will also push me out of my comfort zone when needed. Everyone I have met there so far is is extremely nice and welcoming.

    I travel regularly for work and look for places to roll away from my home gym. I stopped by Warriors Academy while on a visit to KC, for a Jiu-Jitsu class. The instructor and students were very welcoming. The instructor was obviously very knowledgeable and allowed for, what I believe to be, an appropriate amount of time to drill the techniques he was teaching. We also spent some time rolling after the techniques part of the class, the atmosphere was great, awesome training partners and a great facility. If you’re considering starting in Jiu-Jitsu, this would be a great place to get started. I’ll definitely be back when in town and hope to be able to comment on some of the other types of classes.
