A employee and some other lady was outside talking one was smoking( the employee was smoking) door was standing open and I was unlocking my phone from work so I could check my messages. Chawntilly, the manager is the real deal. Her crew is always friendly and helpful. I think the pandemic is hitting these places pretty hard, so I try to support them as much as I possibly can. But yes nice place to shop, finally!
CLOSED at 630pm on Wednesday Feb. 16th 2022 -update
This is the most poorly managed store in the city. The manager on duty today I have no business working with customers and certainly not supervising employees. I didn’t have any problems but the attitude was so bad everybody in the store could feel it and see and she look like she just rolled out of bed. Speaking of the store, it’s a total train wreck. Dirty, under stocked and feels like a poorly organized flea market . Family Dollar is within walking distance. Do yourself a favor and just go there.
I stopped by here on Thursday Feb. 17th around 4pm and the store was closed. Why?? There was no sign on the door stating why. This is not the first time they’ve been closed during normal business hours. Not to mention the store is so cluttered w/ items still in the boxes and there’s no way for you to push a cart through the aisles. It’s disgusting at this location. These 4 and 5 star ratings on here are a bold lie. I frequent this location because it’s on my route home from work and staff has never been friendly, store never clean, never neatly arranged or stocked.
Would give store 2.5 stars if I could. This is a typical dollar store; I live nearby so I often go there. The staff, when they are available, are generally helpful and I’ve never really had any issues of that sort here. The real problem is that the store hours are really more of a suggestion than a reality — it’s not that they WILL be open between 8 AM and 9 PM, it’s that they MAY. The store always appears to be behind the ball when it comes to stocking/restocking their merchandise and it’s generally a wise idea to check the expiration dates on your food items. This isn’t the wealthiest neighborhood and I get that the clientele can sometimes pose some issues, but instead of having a store that’s closed all the time, why can’t Dollar General fork out a little extra in wages and try to foster a culture? Surely that would still be more profitable than having a store that’s closed 6/7 days a week.
They have cell phones to sell but the ppl who work there CAN’T Sell them cuz they DON’T have KEY to CASE. Guy working TODAY said he NEVER HAD a KEY since started there!! Omg! Really????So how u goin have em but CAN’T Sell them. Thats BS.
