  1. I honestly feel that this is the best T.J. Maxx in the Virginia Beach/Norfolk area. This location is always stocked very well. The checkout line can be long but the cashiers make it move fairly quickly. I also love how they’re very diverse in their products. I’m obsessed with the African-American Santas and Christmas collection! You can NOT beat their cheap prices for high-quality products. I can never leave without buying something. I highly recommend this store!

  3. Great place to get any type of gift! Love it! I would have given a 5 star but it’s holiday season, and they are really busy. Need more help with costumer service at jewelry counter, but the lady was doing her very best to help tons of people 👍👍

  4. Pros: Some great finds at reasonable prices in women’s clothing and home goods. Store roomy and neatly organized. I could see signage for different departments, which was helpful.

    Cons: The furniture is a bit overpriced. The ladies restroom was old, dirty-ish (mostly the floor and overflowing trashcan) and only had one stall (with a line).

    TJ max is my favorite store. It’s been a year since I bought this towel from Tj max… I tried using this towel and it absorbs water quickly, so I use it to dry wet hair every time I take a bath. I went to the store today to buy more of these towels. I didn’t buy this towel because I didn’t have it, so I bought other Mulguns. Instead, I bought something else. I bought a shower curtain, but when I compared it to the ones next to it, the vinyl I bought was thick and looked good. For make up removers, I like the places marked in the picture. Facial mist is a must to keep your face moist to prevent dryness and wrinkles. I bought 5 hair mousses, and I had one left, so I tried to buy a few more, but today there was none. TJ max is changed by Mulgun every week… I buy a few items that I really like when I see them in the store and use them.

    It’s a hit or miss shopping experience. One week you go in and it’s a full house of stuff. Go in the next and it’s next to nothing. Bought a mk rain coat, took it home and saw a snap was ripped completely off at the top. My fault, should have looked before I bought it. Make sure you look whatever you buy over before you purchase.

    I went in one day to buy a dress, and when I was checking out the cashier looked over to the other cashier and asked what she thought about it in front of so many people, commenting on how it was too much, not for them, just discussing about the dress right in front me as I’m just trying to pay and go. It was the most embarrassing encounter yet. Clearly the dress was not meant for them, so there was no reason to comment on the appearance of it. I should have just not even purchased the dress. Absolutely horrible customer service and I’m not returning this location again.

    Clean store. It didn’t have merchandise all over the place like other discount stores. It took me longer to check out than it did to find what I was looking for. However, the cashier was polite and friendly.

    As far as merchandise goes there’s a lot of variety. The customer service is lacking! There’s a line, an employee older, Asian , shorter, hunched over goes behind the check out register and starts talking about ‘ don’t put hangers here so I don’t have have to bend.’ While she ran her mouth, I said are you open to check me out?! I don’t need to stand here for 5 minutes. Rang up the one item I had. Instead of putting the receipt in my hand or the bag she drops it on the counter. I called her out on that. Common courtesy, lady. No apology or anything. There’s a lot of employees talking amongst each other where any customer can hear when in fact it can wait. Attend to all customers. Retail 101. Always has a line because not all employees can help at the register which isn’t good. This is an ongoing issue at all of the locations.
