Mine wouldn’t charge and the port wasn’t working -(so I received a new phone the next day)… My husbands- *after the Apple update won’t function correctly. I went to Apple and Apple said that it’s the carrier and they can see that Verizon is dropping the ball so they wont do anything ; He showed me the dropped history and where it’s the carrier cutting in and out and told me Verizon knows how to fix it-it’s memorial day weekend. I couldn’t get a hold of my husband- yesterday …he was texting from other peoples phones to me. If they knew it was there issue- why charge me $49 a month for warranty coverage and not help?! I am not spending a holiday weekend at Verizon- so I have to go in again on Tuesday. Be very careful when you enter into their warranties because they don’t always honor them and I don’t know who has the time during a work week to shuffle back-and-forth to Verizon???? We have a brand new phone and it doesn’t work . I went to the store yesterday to get signed up for internet through the ACP, and they told me to go elsewhere. They’re listed as a provider on the FCC website. The poor salesman didn’t even seem to want me in the store. His face looked like he was thinking: “Next!” I was dressed appropriately and was not rude. He just heard words he didn’t understand and didn’t want to take the time to help me. Been here twice for technical help after my old phone died. Shout out to Tyler who helped me set up my new phone. My new phone was sent via mail from the insurance company. He then helped me with a Google calendar widget issue. Interesting how people you work with make a difference. Based on the great service I got from Tyler I’d rate the store a 5. It’s generally a nice community oriented store. I need to do more business here then update my star rating. All in all from my perspective it’s pretty good! 👍
We swung by our local Verizon store in Greentree yesterday as I had a minor issue with my new phone (not the phone itself, but with an app). A highly knowledgeable, competent Verizon rep, Brandon, quickly resolved it.
It turned out he’s an Android fan and likes Samsung products, like us. He noticed my wife’s older model and mentioned a great trade-in deal for it, along with some other solid deals. Brandon owns Samsung devices himself and demonstrated them and let us check them out. He also gave us some useful tips and resources of which we were unaware. He was helpful, patient, and never pushy… just smoothly persuasive.
The upshot is our intended brief stop to tweak my phone lasted some two hours, and we left with my wife having a new phone, smart watch and tablet…. all properly set-up, encased, and screen protected. That’s “value added” service in our book. We noted the competent professionalism of the other store employees as well. We will return for our future mobile device and service needs.
