  1. This review is for the paint department, but the entire store deserves a shout out for doing a great job every time I shop here. Thank you .

    On New Year’s Day, I drive to this store to find some paint for the base of an expensive lamp I am restoring. David, in the paint department, stopped what he was doing and took the time to explain the type of paint I needed, showed me the colors I could choose from, the style of paint (matte-ultra glossy) and prepared the paint after I finally picked a color. He went above and beyond and even though the store closed in 20 minutes, it was a holiday so most people were off, coupled with the fact that he had probably been there all day, he gave me 100% and never acted like it was a bother at all. Awesome Job. Thanks David and the rest of the Home Depot team.

  2. It depends what location you visit that determines your shopping experience. I have yet to have an employee (seeing my confusion) ask me if I needed help, I end up walking out and ordering what I need on line. The star rating reflects the available products (I would give them lower stars for the employee assistance (lack of).

  3. Had a water heater install that resulted in extensive ceiling damage and yes, it’s my problem to solve. What’s the point of using them to do business with if you can’t have some level of assurance?

  4. While I normally go to the Lexington store I went here specifically for a wheelbarrow that the Lexington store did not have in stock. Unfortunately I had to take a second trip as the gentleman that was helping me could not find the one I wanted and was told later that they were outside. Since it was raining and I was in my car I wasn’t willing to take it home wet. Come to find out on the net visit they were not put together (even better for me) and were not where the person was told as they were on a top shelf where no one could see them. Either way I do have the one and would go back again.

  5. I went in there yesterday to purchase a pressure washer for work. I was treated like I was a criminal about to try to steal the thing. I have never felt more uncomfortable in my whole life. I will never step foot in that store again and I am strongly urging everyone else to not go in there either. No one should have to feel that way in any circumstances especially when they are spending money in the location

    We ordered windows and installation to the tune of $16,000. Two of the windows were ordered incorrectly and we are getting no response on when they will fix the issue. We also have two windows that don’t operate like they’re supposed to, along with another one that has a big hole on the edge of the screen. No one has responded to ANY of the communication we have put out over the past MONTHS trying to get this issue resolved. DO NOT BUY WINDOWS FROM HOME DEPOT.

    In garden centre 30 mins before garden centre closes with a cart full of soil to check out. Two young employees there. They take one look at us and run to put the gate down. “Sorry, outdoor area closed” ” Sign says you don’t close for over thirty more minutes”. “Oh we closed because there are no customers”. Like really? No customers? What the … Am I? You didnt close the gate until I was at the register, you want me tracking all the soil through? They didn’t start working on closing the gate till we were at the register, they just didn’t want to check us out. Very rude and unprofessional.. thankfully Lowes is near by. I’ll go there for garden supplies.

    In order for veterans and those in the military to use the discount program you have to put an app on your phone. For those with government or business phones or those who don’t use smartphones that’s a problem. The management at this location on the night I visited refused to assist in any meaningful way, managers have the inherit Authority to give up to a 10% discount to customers which is the same as the military discount and they were not willing to do that on my purchase, instead demanding I load an app. Home Depot has also removed items like appliances from the military discount program, which they did very quietly without notifying anybody and they have put a cap on their discount program. It’s their company, they can do whatever they want, and they don’t have to offer military discounts at all, it’s a courtesy and I acknowledge that. But you shouldn’t be removing certain items from the program without telling people, you shouldn’t require me to use an app on my phone, and you could just provide a membership card instead. This particular location is no better or no worse than any other home depot, not exactly the largest with the biggest selection. And the staff here never seem very customer oriented or welcoming or willing to go the extra mile for anyone. With limited exceptions, I’ve never come across anyone in this store who seems like they want to work there. Avoid this Home Depot and go to one a mile down the road.

    Zero is what I rate this store. This is the most ridiculous and maddening place to try to get a delivery from ever! It has been over a month since our $5000 purchase to be delivered from Sandhills HD. After many cancelled delivery dates. Two wrong deliveries. Two deliveries of the wrong building material, and numerous phone calls and visits to the store, we are still impatiently waiting with frayed nerves and getting angrier by the minute with their poor excuses! The rudeness of the lady at customer service for their numerous mistakes is beyond belief. Enough already, girl I am NOT the one to be rude with, how about saving that for the inept workers who can’t read the order while loading the truck—Twice already you have sent the wrong stuff!!!Excuses, shifted blame and rude representative at the desk for your major screw up!!! Who can I talk to that is Not in this store to get this matter fixed? $5000 is not chump change to us! Do NOT expect a delivery from the Sandhills Home Depot, make other arrangements for your own sanity and to keep your building project moving smoothly. Our stuff is laying on the floor of that store a month later.
