  1. Very well maintained store with friendly and knowledgeable staff. I usually shop there when discount coupons arrive in the paper or through my rewards program. If I have a small project to do, I usually go here. I have always looked for clothes, footwear and winter items here as well. I also have found non construction and cleaning products as well. Toys, kitchen items, photo frames and albums and ect. I would recommend visiting this store.
    Update: Sunday morning 🌄, May 2021; Store layout keeps changing. I was in the area and was looking for an outdoor entrance rug. They didn’t have anything that would be useful. Employees are very helpful.

  2. The staff where extremely friendly and helpful. The store was super clean and well stocked. Had a real friendly I’m at home relaxing at my work bench feel to the store. I’m not real easily impressed but this store is definitely impressive and worthy enough to write about it. I want to go back shopping now. Let me know what you think. They get thumbs up from me.

    Wow, I have been coming here for years but recently had a great experience at Arjays. I came in looking for a fuse for a car charger and Nick walked me through some options and because it was for a device for my car he helped guide me further when they didn’t work. We found that it was the cars fuse and not the device and he even came out and brought me some others to try and let me check out while they were closing. The best service you could ask for, hats off! Adding an update that I had another trip where Dawn helped me figure out a way to attach a rear bike rack to carry a bag. I was missing a piece that attached the rack to the bike and whereas the exact piece wasn’t in stock we found another way to attach the bike using a combination of trial and error and exploring each of the departments. It’s working great and she really went out of her way to help me find a solution. Thanks Dawn!

    *EDIT* I originally gave a 5-Star rating but have changed it to a three because I have had some unpleasant experiences during subsequent visits. I initially felt comfortable and well-treated when I shopped here. That is why it is so unfortunate that not all the staff are equally adept at serving their customers. I will no longer shop at this location after several visits during which I felt ignored, belittled and profiled. This is a very good option for supporting small business in the Exeter area as it is comprehensively stocked and centrally located. They are able to provide everything one would find at the big box stores only it’s a more hometown feel. Like I said it’s well stocked, organized, tidy and clean. Although the aisles are narrow due to holding so much product, the lighting is adequate. The best part about going to a local hardware store is that the service is very friendly and staff is well-informed and willing to help. In a smaller setting, it’s possible to form a relationship with the staff so they can help you with your hardware, painting or construction projects having a sense of what appeals to you. The prices are also very reasonable. For most items it’s comparable to other, big name hardware stores. I bought paint for the same or less than I would have spent elsewhere. I highly recommend this location.

    Always friendly. Always nice. They are willing to help you if you have a question and explain what you need to do. If you’re doing stuff yourself very great service. Always go there when I’m in Exeter.

    I was looking for some sweeping compound for my concrete floor The website said that there was 100 lb box of it in stock I drove all the way from Northwood to get it when I got there nobody even knew what it was then he said they must have sold out then some would said they have small bags of it but they couldn’t find anything cuz they didn’t know where anything was so finally he told me they’re out of it disappointing
