We called Avalanche and they came out and did their $89.00 assessment to tell us what’s going on. They said we needed to change our filter. They also suggested to have our unit filter be redirected to the hallway as well as doing an overall maintenance clean up. $462.00 later and few weeks after the service, the pipes froze up again. We had to shut our unit off. Hours after, our son’s bedroom started to leak in three different places. See pictures below. Avalanche came out again and fixed it but sent us a $192.00 and took zero responsibility for the leaking wall damage. When I talk to Mr. Jim at Avalanche he said they don’t cover that because we “didn’t maintain the unit and they didn’t install it. ” After two lengthy conversations with Mr. Jim, he hung up on us stating, “Ma’am, since you’re going to take zero responsibility for your part in this, I can’t help you.By Stephanie Williams (8 months ago)We went with Avalanche Heating Cooling and Plumbing, because they gave us a great quote and always super friendly every time I call.Ernie and Luke installed a new A/C unit and a new Furnace. On 24th early afternoon our hot water heater went bad. I’m no plumber or mechanic to fix it. I started calling and 99% of the calls no one answered or said leave a message. I finally had someone answer the phone $299 to take look and $299 an hour to fix it. I could have bought a new hot water heater for that!
So we heated water on our stove until the morning of 27th. A couple call said in a day or two and Peterson said they could get to it from 1-3. We said ok. Bruce, the tech who got here, was great. Friendly and took care of the job much cheaper than the quote we got. So thank you Peterson and Bruce. It was nice to take a shower😊
They got me in hours within calling, Robert was on time and would have even been an hour early had I been home. I was kept informed the entire time on what was happening, it was explained to me thoroughly. I was provided a recommendation sheet with a price breakdown so that I know what I needed to do today, bare minimum, but also what I’ll need to do soon and an idea of cost. Friendly, and did the job very fast! I recommend!
The technicians are top notch. Professional and extremely competent. The office scheduler is unfortunately less than courteous if you have questions or complaints.
We had to cancel our service once discovering that they stopped offering 24 hour emergency service. Unfortunately we didn’t find that out until after an emergency happened.
The company was very quick about scheduling an appointment. As for Gabe this man did an amazing job from start to finish helping me with options giving sound advice and his quality of work is outstanding. I could spend hours praising the company and employee but all I can say is give them a try you won’t regret it. Be sure to request Gabe.
Although in the end I had to use the company the property management picked, my hour long diagnostic with them impressed me. They were very thorough, helped me understand an unfamiliar system and made me feel safe that my needs would be met with a real resolution not just a band-aid. Thank you Jeff and to his apprentice. You are good people.
