What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Omni hotel in Corpus Christi and I can honestly say it was an amazing experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the friendly and welcoming staff who went above and beyond to make sure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable.

The room itself was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated with modern amenities. The bed was incredibly comfortable and I slept soundly throughout the night. I particularly enjoyed the stunning view of the bay from my room, which made for a relaxing and peaceful stay.

The hotel offers a range of amenities, including a rooftop pool and lounge, a fitness center, and a delicious on-site restaurant. I had a chance to try the restaurant, and I can say the food was absolutely delicious.

But what really sets this hotel apart is the exceptional customer service. The staff were always available and willing to assist with any requests or questions I had, and they truly went above and beyond to ensure my stay was enjoyable.

Overall, I would highly recommend the Omni hotel in Corpus Christi for anyone looking for a comfortable, luxurious, and memorable stay. The staff, amenities, and location all make for an unforgettable experience. I cannot wait to return for another stay in the future!

  2. I was extremely excited to bring my family to the beautiful vacation in Corpus Christi at the Omni Hotel, a 4-star hotel. Everything went smoothly until my wife accidentally left the car and house keys in the hotel room. We realized this only after reaching San Antonio, Texas. We immediately called the hotel to explain the situation and were promised a call back, but nobody called even after 30 minutes. We called multiple times throughout the day but received no information or concern about our situation within 24 hours. The next day, we started calling again and after several hours, we finally found a person who was honest and willing to help resolve our matter. In the end, we had to return to the hotel to pick up our belongings. All of this highlights the fact that despite being a 4-star hotel, the service was only deserving of 1 star. There was no concern for the customer, only a focus on money. Our family lost both time and money due to poor communication, and we would greatly appreciate any form of compensation.

  3. My wife and I recently stayed at the Omni and had an amazing time. The room had an amazing view of the bay and was pretty quiet despite the air conditioning being loud at times.

During our stay, we spent a majority of the time at the pool and thought it was very nice and not overly crowded. My only negative here is that the steps that lead from the space above the pool are metal and get very hot during the summer months so it might be something worth investing in a different surface or a sign to let guests know.

Aside from that, the service at Topsider was great- shout out to Donnie, Ken and Hunter. We also enjoyed breakfast at the Glass Pavilion and the service there was equally great. Ran into a minor mixup when I attempted to get some clothes cleaned, but Emma at the front desk was able to resolve the issue.

Overall, it was a great stay and I would definitely go back. Despite the shorter than normal levels of staffing in the restaurants, the hotel did a phenomenal job of providing the best customer service.

  4. We really enjoyed the view… but that’s about it. The smell of the hallway of our room was terrible, it smelled wet and musty. The parking isn’t free, wifi isn’t free and there’s no complimentary breakfast. I submitted my review to the hotel and received a response immediately from the director of the front office. His response to me was pretty much letting me know that the amenities I asked for is free for an additional cost. That doesn’t sound free to me. I’ve stayed at other hotels that were much cleaner, newer and offered all the amenities at a way lesser rate than this hotel. At this point, it’s clear that this hotel doesn’t much care about customer satisfaction. The least they can do for the rates they charge is keep a clean smell. I paid over $200 for one night and that was at a discounted rate, we were planning to stay longer but we didnt because of our experience

  5. Average hotel at resort prices. There was nothing special about the rooms. Same room you would pay for at your typical Marriott or Hilton, and at least those have microwaves in the rooms and the AC works better. You pay for the view, but again you could see the same thing just visiting the Bayfront. The amount of road noise you can hear from the room is insane. The windows are far from soundproof. The breakfast at the glass pavilion was fine, but the prices were steep. Overall I’d stay at the Marriott down the road before I paid another $300 a night here.

The pictures on the site must be from many years ago. The hotel definitely needs a make over. The outside needs some love as well as all the public areas inside. The rooms look like they’ve had a little upgrade minus the bathroom. I would probably never book here again. Staff was great. The hotel had a creepy vibe, I would not let your kids roam alone.

I only give the second star because of location. Stayed 4 days in April to check out the hotel because go each year to a beach soccer tournament our grandkids play in at McGee beach.

When we were ready to leave, we said, “nothing nice about it, but nothing really wrong with it…”. It’ll be good if we get a balcony when we come back and can see the games from there.

Got the manager to show us the corner room and it was perfect. Booked 5 days. No guarantee I could get THAT room but “shouldn’t be a problem— she’s making notes in my reservation.”

Arrived 7/5 for 5 days. Paid $2300 for those 5. It WAS their premium room after all. No A/C. No working phone to call and say no a/c.

Move next door they say… but it’s not on corner I say. Room wasn’t guaranteed they say. I paid for premium I say. You got premium they say. No refunds they say.

Turns out the team got standard rooms for $166/night. Mine was $450 a night with fees/taxes. The place is not worth the money.

My point is, management goes no further in making good will beyond thank you, once the credit card clears, but, my fault. I know better.

Brand new Residence Inn next to McGee. Choose it or one of the others.

Convenient location by the sea. No complimentary breakfast. Parking is well controlled with the room key. Lobby area has good internet. I was able to work from there for some time. Generally clean. Since it’s next to the sea, I guess the building is not easy to maintain. Bathrooms were a little older.

I loved the location of a Beach front hotel and I use to think that this was such a snazzy, fancy, hotel from outside but I was very disappointed at the inside. The elevators were so small, the room was a great size but my shower was not clean and had left over soap in it. To make matters worse the air conditioner didn’t work in our room. This place has the potential of doing better… The Best Western down the street was more pleasant than this place.

This hotel use to be our go to, even when not in the area we make the trip just to stay at Emerald . The amenities, food and drinks were a great end after being out most of the day. This last stay with them was a total different experience and vibe! The room was very outdated and was dirty looking, some furniture needed painting or replacing, our room had a adjacent door to another room and could hear the neighbors talking all night. The back entrance door required a key card to enter and you never needed it, you could pull on the door and it would open. Elevators were a hot box, and looks/feels creepy not to mention it smelled of mildew everywhere. The only satisfying experience was the front desk employee upon checking in. He was friendly and accommodating to the side of the hotel
We wanted. I would have given this hotel 1 star but because of the location, I gave it 2 stars. Side note:
The hotel is gated parking for guest only, however the couple of day we were there you always needed the key card to enter but wasn’t always the case exiting.

The staff was so helpful, kind and hospitable. They really treated us like we were guests in their home. The free breakfast had a nice variety. The rooms were clean and spacious. The fold-out couch bed was so nice for our large family. We especially appreciated the many hooks to hang our swimsuits and beach towels on. The beds were also very soft and comfortable. The walk to the beach was simple and convenient. Overall, a wonderful experience for our family vacation to the beach!

We have stayed at this location numerous times. As these past few months. We are relocating to the area. Daniel and Tyler always go above and beyond to make sure our stay meet our expectations. The rooms are always very clean, the beds are pretty comfortable and that’s saying a lot for me cause I love to sleep on a cloud. The pool and hot tub are all-ways very relaxing after a long day. The location of this hotel is excellent. Just a few steps to the beach on foot or a very short drive to the beach off of Whitecap.
The only negative is the the breakfast is a little lacking. Compared to some of the other holiday inns in the area. I usually like the bus cures and gravy and did not get or see that once as an option. The pankcake machine was down a few days we were their, and the had a supply issue with plastic ware.

Over all I do give this hotel a very high rating.

Horrible reservation people, they played with numbers and gave us several different prices which didn’t go with the website. Along with lying that there were no rooms available when the website said they did prior to me reserving the room. They lied about check in time. I was told we could check in between 1-2. The rude manager Tyler and staff have no clue how a service animal helps a military veteran. Of all my years coming here, NEVER AGAIN WILL I STAY HERE! Went back on their word of allowing my husband to have his service animal here. They Have NOT GIVEN back a refund to us. We’ve stayed at the Port Aransas holiday express and many other locations with no issues! This establishment needs to have a strong discussion on being better at their communication and not lying to long time customers. Along with that you should have both employees and managers get some type of training on the importance of what it means ti have a service animal and how they assist a wounded warrior. Your establishment can become a part of an action lawsuit for rejecting a veterans needs! Once again NEVER WILL WE STAY AT THIS HOLIDAY INN IN PADRE ISLAND AGAIN!

We stayed here for our vacation and could not recommend it enough. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and convenient just steps away from the beach. We also want to note that Tyler at the front desk was kind, charismatic, and so very helpful! He was our favorite part of the experience:)
