4 months agoI use the online ordering with curbside pickup and the staff running the bags are really friendly and quick to deliver them. Substitutions are usually done well, especially when picking backups, but the store does sometimes have stock issues.5 months agoGreat shopping experience with plenty of local, fresh produce. The overall setup of the market is self-explanatory and everything is easy to find. If not, one of the friendly employees is right there to assist. Particularly, I cherish that it is a shopping experience for which I don’t need a car (so for small purchases I can combine it with a walk).10 months agoBest Kroger ever. Great selection, great staff, and the meat department is always on fleek with the quality and cuts. I shop there every single day and I have never had a bad experience. Thanks to the staff for working so hard through staffing shortages. Additionally, for those who complain about short staff and out of stock items, feel free to put down your phone while driving and grab an application to work there, and stop complaining. They work so hard and do not deserve complaints.8 months agoHonestly if I could give this place 0 stars I would. My GRANDMA has been loyal to this location even before this place became Kroger (honestly miss Hillers). She has had some serious issues with customer service. There is a woman there named GEANIE who was extremely rude and would not help her bag her groceries. She scanned her items and told my GRANDMA to bag them while GEANIE stood there and did nothing. She said she doesn’t “come around” to bag reusable bags. She wouldn’t even help the other women in front of my grandma (including women with little children). When another employee saw this interaction happen, he apologized and agreed that GEANIE wasn’t doing her job. They only had one bagger, and you’re telling your customers that you can’t help?? What kind of customer service is this?? Are you unable to help mothers and the elderly?? If you want a good experience, I highly recommend not shopping here.8 months agoKroger used to have good fried chicken. I think the Northville store stopped making their own after the pandemic and get refrigerated one from other store and sell them here. These are horrible! They have no taste (not seasoned). Whereever you souced these from, please resource it from another store! I don’t really think it is fair to charge regular fresh made price with refrigerated, days old, no taste version. Also, please stock your item that is on-sale, even if it is towards the end of the sales period. You put things on sale to lure customers into the store in hope that it will generate sales from the onsale items but also from the regular price items. Customers made the trip to the store only to find out often times, onsale items are out of stock. You should strive to do better to antcipate the increased demand since you put it on sale and should expect to sell more of those items. Any other reasonings to explain they are sold out are just “excuses”. Let me give you a suggestion – you can also substitute the out of stock item with something equivalent. Many ways to solve the problem and make it fair to the consumers. We did not ask you to put things on sale. You choose to do it in hope to increase your sales and profit. So does the customer that made the trip expecting to buy a certain product at a certain price point only to waste time and gas.

Very disappointed in my bakery experience. The cake I ordered several days ago turned out nothing like I had asked. When I placed the order I left excited about it only to be severely disappointed upon pickup. The colors were wrong. Wrong icing. Name spelled wrong. The cake decorator said she could do an old English D and even that wasn’t on there. The premade cakes looked better than my ordered one. Not happy.
Wanted to express my gratitude for the service received at the pharmacy in Northville,MI. I made a decision to finally take the Covid shot after months of contemplating. Early in the day, I went to three other retail locations but they rejected me since I did not have an appointment. Though all locations had signs that no appointment was required. My luck turned for the best once, I met Ryan at my local Kroger. He took a few minutes and spoke with the Assistant Pharmacy Manager (Sarla), and explained my situation and she did not hesitate to fit me in. The most amazing thing was how Sarla administered the shot, I felt no pain and it happened so quickly, I didn’t even know I was done. Again thank you to the team at Kroger!!!! And I received a goody package as well. Now just waiting on President Biden to buy that first round of beers😀.
Every time I call the pharmacy, I’m plaed on hol indefinitely and a short rambling greeting saying they are sort staffed.
Kroger and other retail stores are short staffed because they refuse to pay workers a wage they can live on. “But how can Kroger compete with amazon?”. DON’T
People who shop brick and mortar do not expect retail to compete with online shopping. We expect online shopping to compete with retail stores, in service, human interaction, and convenience.
Keep it up and I will buy everything from amazon….you are asking for it.
Covid messed this place up or Kroger, like so many companies, is being cheap and not hiring night staff to restock shelves overnight or during the day-
Due to my schedule, early Saturday am (8-9) is my option for grocery shopping and often find them not having what I need- if I wait until my shift is done, in the evening, it’s even worse!
Krogers produce, no matter which location, is lacking in freshness, quality and quantity- I have to go to Westborn market to get quality and reasonably priced produce- I never seem to be able to get Taylor Salads – They are always out of stock- yet there is always plenty of the Kroger brand and Doles, which don’t come close to Taylor brand-
Can’t get Deli meat/cheese because the lady states they don’t open until 11 even though she’s standing there cutting deli meat/cheese for the refrigeration section- She’s quite abrasive – I would be happy to use the pre-cut but it’s often more or less than what I need -Either cut 1/2 pound or 1 pound packages not the random weighing…also they don’t usually cut the meats and cheese that I prefer- Again, I drive to Westborn market for these items
I have 4 Krogers within driving distance to my house and each one lacks on one department or another-
Good luck if you shop after 1 pm on any day of the week- or after a Saturday
At this point, I’m better off shopping at Busches or Westborn market for all my shopping needs because I can no longer get everything I need at Kroger
08/14/23: Stopped in for convenience while in the area. Butcher and Bakery were not open at 5:30pm and 5 items I needed in the store were not available. Got what I could, went to check out- 1 cashier and self check open. I’m not self checking $200+ worth of groceries. Finally out and drove 30 minutes home and unloaded. While unpacking bags found Pillsbury can had exploded, examined can more thoroughly to find one end of can has rust and the expiration date was 7/28/23. Called the store- took 17 minutes for someone to answer, to be greeted with an “mhmmm, I’m on a register” and attitude, put on hold, for another person to answer, to sit silently and tell me I can come back in or go to any store for exchange. Not really the point- your food is expired!! And this is a huge inconvenience no matter what the resolution Did not even acknowledge the bigger issue at hand or apologize…, nothing. Hands down the worst Kroger I’ve ever shopped!
