What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. Costco is a great place for bulk purchases and home goods. This store is clean, nicely organized, and abundantly stocked. The staff is friendly and available to help.

There is a pharmacy and gas station. The parking lot is huge, so remember where you park. And the self check out is convenient.

If you live in the area, I would definitely recommend purchasing a membership.

  2. I love this Costco. It’s very clean. Well organized. It’s great. The parking lot is wonky. It’s big but it’s laid out weird.

Also, whatever you do. Don’t go on the weekends. The staff handles it well and the wait isn’t long, but dear lord…. everyone in the universe is all packed in there, and it’s like the Hunger Games just trying to get down the aisle. Let alone to grab garbage bags, printer paper, or whatever you came for.

Also, little known fact, Costco rotisserie chicken is delicious, huge, and costs about half what a Giant Eagle rotisserie chicken would cost at half the size or smaller than Costco’s.

  3. The prices didn’t impress me. I can do better elsewhere. The cashier was rude. We ordered a pizza and had to wait over 30 minutes while they took pepperoni and pizzas served them to customers that came after us. Then there was a long line waiting to get out of the store. I would rather go to Walmart on a holiday weekend than come back to Costco. I wish we could cancel our membership and get our money back. There won’t be any renewing of our membership.

  4. Costco should have stayed in their warehouse line and not open appliances and online section. We are not ordering online again!Their appliances delivery system is as bad as it gets.
It takes forever to deliver ( over a month in our case). They delivered a freeze that they didn’t even fully hook up. Their dishwasher installer didn’t even show up ( multiple schedule miss). When we reached out to their online rep ,they recommended us to do the work by ourselves and they may be able to reimburse some. But after installation when reached out , they outright told us they won’t .As they don’t take any liability of their installers.
So free installation is an outright scam they are pushing.
The logistics reps that I was in contact was very disrespectful and not helpful at all.
It is sad to see a great American company like Costco loosing basic customer service attics.

  5. HARASSING PICTURE VERIFICATION PROCESS:
During my last few visits, the staff are verifying the membership card and the picture (both Self-checkout and regular check out lanes). The process seems to be fair – except for the flawed Costco’s policy and the rude behavior of the staff. My picture was taken 9 years ago when I take the initial picture and Costco does not have the policy to take a recent picture during the renewals every year. The lady in the checkout counter was very rude and sarcastic and made some personal remarks asking ‘Who is the picture?’ etc. Obviously the physical appearance of people going to change over the years. Why don’t you take a new picture or politely ask for another form of identification. The staff do neither and just make personal remarks as if they follow the prompt like a robot. If this harassments continue to happen, I am switching over to Sam’s or BJ’s.

Came in and purchased a tv using my annual check from Costco for being an executive member. If you shop at Costco frequently consider getting one. It basically pays for itself and you get a check once a year to spend at any Costco.

For this store, it was clean and everyone was super friendly. Someone even helped me load my TV into my truck.

Good experience as usual. One can get cramped for space in Pittsburgh Costcos compared to e.g. those in TX. Update on August 20, 2023. There is now a sizable Halal meat section. It has Halal Australian and New Zealand goat and lamb, ground beef as well as hand slaughtered Crescent brand chicken products.

Great discounted clothing. I snagged 2 pairs of comfy, cotton blend, loose fit Jessica Simpson pants for $4. Some cheap tops and great discounted kids clothes. I was able to find the talked about Magnolia Bakery banana pudding cookies. In my opinion they were ok, nothing like the hype that has been given. But to each their own. I like going to Costco’s in different cities. You never know what you may find.

I’ve severely underestimated just how amazing costco is. Affordable, clean, friendly and helpful staff. Grabbing a quick bite at the food court before you shop is a great way to prevent needless purchases.

Costco in Pittsburgh PA: Do’s and Don’ts Every Shopper Should Know

When shopping at Costco, there are some rules that you should be aware of to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience. These rules cover everything from membership requirements to acceptable forms of payment. On the other hand, there are also some misconceptions about Costco rules that we can clarify. Let’s take a look at what you need to know:

First and foremost, you need to be a member to shop at Costco. They offer two types of memberships: Gold Star and Executive. The Executive membership has an annual fee that is higher than the Gold Star, but it also comes with added benefits and the potential for an annual 2% reward on qualified purchases. Only members are allowed to bring guests, so if you plan to shop with someone who does not have a membership, they need to be accompanied by a current Costco member.

When it comes to payment, Costco accepts cash, debit cards, and Costco credit cards. However, they do not accept any other form of credit card or personal check. This can sometimes be confusing for shoppers who are used to using different types of payment methods. It’s also worth noting that Costco has a strict return policy. While they offer a satisfaction guarantee on most products, there are some exceptions such as electronics, appliances, and certain items with a limited life expectancy.

Now let’s break down the essential rules and guidelines while shopping at Costco:

  • Membership is required to shop at Costco.
  • You can bring guests if you are a member.
  • Accepted forms of payment are cash, debit cards, and Costco credit cards.
  • No other credit cards or personal checks are accepted.
  • Costco has a strict return policy.

On the other hand, there are a few misconceptions regarding Costco rules that are worth mentioning:

  • There is no rule against taking pictures inside Costco. Although it is always polite to ask for permission before taking photos of an employee or other customers.
  • Shopping carts are not required. You can carry your items or use a basket if you prefer.
  • There is no rule against shopping without a membership, as long as you are accompanied by a Costco member.
  • There is no rule against buying alcohol without a membership, as long as the purchase is made in the Costco liquor store, which is typically separate from the main store.
  • Food samples are not unlimited. While Costco is known for its generous sample offerings, there may be a limit on the number of samples you can try.

By familiarizing yourself with these rules and guidelines, you can make the most of your shopping experience at Costco and avoid any potential misunderstandings.
